I don't kick all that often, but if I do it's usually because someone's starting drama. Even if it doesn't go through (it usually does), it does a fantastic job of stopping the drama cold.

Pretty much this.

Trying to play the game/learn the game = No one is probably going to try to kick you.
Not starting drama = No one is probably going to try to kick you.

It's the players that continuously play bad, and start the "you don't pay my sub" crap that end up getting kicked. Even if you play terrible and get carried to Stormblood - eventually someone is going to take notice.

If you've been trying to better yourself, take criticism, and read up on your skills since you started playing. Odds are that others think you're a decent/good player.

The kick system is rarely abused, and abusing it is a reportable offence. Odds are when someone says they were unjustly kicked, you aren't getting the whole story.

One time in Aurum vale the tank started insulting the healer because we wiped once. Once. Healer was a returner and was still getting back into the grove but the tank just wouldn't stop. A vote kick went up for the healer, I said now and it still went through. That was bs so I left and ate the penalty.

So it does happen but I dont know how much, thats the only one I really remember because it pissed me off.

Dead on the money, peoples inaction in these situations really have an impact and mostly for the worse

I dont immediately try to kick people over an argument, Im sorry you want to twist things so you can blame me for other people being twats instead of you know, them. I wasn't inactive I defended the healer in the argument and voted no, you cant start another vote kick in the middle of one already started. I then left when it went through because I wasnt going to support that, so "inactive" is a dumb thing to say.

That's the point we're trying to make, that person could of used somebody to chime and help. Not sure if you did or not (from the story it doesn't seem so), if you didn't then yes hold yourself to your own standard and hold the person bullying accountable.

I do hold myself to my own standard, youre the one trying to force yours onto me because I didnt kick them immediately. I clarified what I did in the post you just quoted. Since you need it again apparently, I argued, voted no, then left. Stop trying to act like I did absolutely nothing and leave me alone, people like you are part of the problem because you blame others and even the victims and Im so tired of it. "You should have done this and its your fault what happened because you didnt." It is not my responsibility for how others act nor is it anyone elses besides the person who is acting.
