CRUEL! Shame on your SE

The housing timers are without a doubt the most cruel and hideous mechanic I have seen in a game ever.
SE has the most talented crew in any company in the gaming business and you honestly think I will believe that this was the best that you could come up with.

I am aware, so before the internet justice warriors come to defend their beloved SE with their excuses, stop while you're ahead.
I know it's not a NEEDED thing in game, however I want it. I pay to play the game. I am trying to play the game, I don't need to justify why I want it, I do have a fc room and apartment. I just want it. That's all there is to it.

It's content in game that I want.

HOWEVER with that being said, how on earth could SE invent such a disgustingly awful housing.
A team that brought graphics to an almost insane perfection, and brought games to a whole new level of beauty with it's creative worlds, flamboyant characters and STUNNING game play, and you really think that an invisible timer was the best option.
I have been going at this for weeks. Multiple houses taken from me just because I walked away to rest, take care of my health, eat, ect.
A lot of my free time devoted to finding a house in game. I love this game, it's beyond beautiful. BUT THIS IS THE UGLIEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN IN A GAME EVER and needs to be fixed as soon as possible. Because I know that SE has the ability to make it better. They simply choose NOT to.

Shame on you SE for implementing such a disgusting thing in game. SHAME.

With all due respect, i don't believe that it is the players job to come up with ways to make the game better. Its probably not good either to complain about many things in the game but to be fair housing has been an issue for a very long time now. The game creator should come up with some kind of way to better the situation.

Well, with all due respect it was players feedback that built this game. The devs aren't all know, all seeing. The entire point of these boards is to provide feedback to the Development team. I know first hand a lot of suggest have been added to the game so yea, giving the devs solutions to complex problems is better than just filling the boards with complaints.

Complaint is also a method of bringing issues to light. While i am sure that some things that players have brought up have been included into the game, redesigning the entire housing system seems a little too much for the players. The players time should be used to enjoy the game. Like i said, complaining all the time is not going to change anything but they get paid to better the game. We pay to play the game.

The reason we have the RNG timer system we have now is because it was one of many suggestions the players brought up on the forums. It was something that "we wanted" to stop the "over inflated prices" created by people selling houses. We as players can actually give really great feedback on what works and what doesn't and come up with ideas that we think can truly help make this a better game for all.

While complaints can help the team by bringing issues to light, if you complain about something then add a few ways that it might be possible to fix the problem, you're helping the team come up with ideas. Not all of the ideas may be possible, but helping to create a solution should be something we strive towards when giving feedback.

Looking at the first page of the housing forums, we have a thread that's almost 230 pages long of ideas to help make housing better (items we'd like to see, changes to the system, more items indoors/ outdoors, things we want dyeable, etc.). While not even close to all of those things have made it into the game, we've definitely gotten quite a few (hello lofts, stairs, sink, double item slots, tons of furnishings made dyeable, and that's off the top of my head).

Even if we pay to play the game while they get paid to make it, wouldn't it be great if some of the ways to make it better actually came from us?

I agree that the forum is a great way to give advice and make certain issues come to light. I am also not saying that some of this advice has not made it into the game as i stated before. All i am saying is that at the end of the day this is the developers job. The housing issue is something that game creator is aware of per an interview in which he hinself stated that he aknowlwdges the housing system is not in a state where it should be. (Sorry for grammatical errors, typing from phone)
