    Why am I forced into an boss area when the boss is pulled?

    I don't like that change at all. You can basically only chose between "Move there immediately" and "Wait 25s until moved there automatically".

    You might want to reset a pull because somebody is afk or still missing or somebody is trolling and pulling on purpose when not everyone is ready yet.
    Surviving those 25-30s is usually possible on non tank classes even...

    Imagine somebody wants to go afk a few minutes, your grp continues regardless, boss gets pulled, crucial mechanic happens, afk guy gets teleported inside and has to perform the mechanic. and rip

    Some bosses require 1 or 3 people for example for mechanics like Avatar, if you are as duo in there you have a hard time. You cant just let 1 guy outside feelsbad

    Everything in this game you decide on your own, but if a boss is pulled my freedom of choice is gone? xD What was their reasoning to implement this?

    Ppl were locked out mostly from 24 man raid bosses by accident and couldn´t join after that or on purpose to go afk and leech. Thats why can join after its closed now and are forced into the arena after 30 secs.

    Yeah the solution to join after 30s is fine, the solution to afk and leechers is kicking them, a death wont make a difference to them so forcing people in does nothing really to counter that..

    That is not really the point though. If a player decides to do nothing it wont matter if he is in the bossarea or not, he will continue to be afk and get carried. You will just not notice it as much as a guy standing outside. So what is the benefit of this system? Having the option to get in the boss area is nice yes, making it forced is not.

    There are scenarios like I mentioned in the first post, where you don't want to pull the boss. There are many reasons... Like waiting for more people to join a duty to fill up again after somebody left, maybe a troll is pulling and instantly kills half of the raid with the first cleave like in weeping city endboss. Maybe you have to explain the boss strats because you wiped at a boss and somebody keeps pulling. Maybe you have disconnected healer and cant clear the fight as they dont come back in the next 30s. You are still forced to die with the raid.
    Like explained there are even fights where mechanics are easier if you are alone and unsync it, if you want to get a person a clear for example. This doesn't work out either.
    It robs a bit of your freedom how to encounter a boss, it is not something that makes you gain anything.

    It annoys me too, especially on the 24s but thats what the ppl got for the way they kept doing it all the time, its not the mechanic we need, but the mechanic we deserve lol

    Various reasons why it might be implemented that way...

    1) Someone is new to a 24-man. Nobody wants to wait, the arena closes before they can reach it because they were in a cutscene for a bit. They did not want to be locked out.

    2) Someone went to the bathroom/doorbell/emergency/whatever. They're back, but now they're locked out. Now a simple "Hey, I'm back, you can raise me" will get them back in the action (or maybe they're not even dead).

    3) Someone is being a deliberate douche and not entering the arena. Now they're either forced to contribute, or it at least becomes a lot more obvious that they're not participating, so people are more likely to vote kick them.


    Simply put, the dev team weighed the pros and cons and decided that it was better to automatically suck people in. Can people troll with it? Certainly. Does it happen often enough to be a huge problem? Not from my experience. Your reasons for not wanting this feature are not invalid, but there are certainly positive reasons for it to exist as well.

    If in a 24, people are in such a hurry that they pull before I or the majority of the group are even remotely there I tend to say screw it and just stay out.

    Funny that you say this. This is exactly the reason why I like it.

    If I'm tanking and my healers are all there, I may as well get the party started. I know there's a lot of stairs in Syrcus Tower, but I think your virtual legs can handle it.

    If you have an actual reason why you're slow ("Sorry, my computer is slow at handling Syrcus Tower's zone lines. Please wait for everyone to arrive before pulling."), then speak up. Otherwise, sprint costs nothing. There's no reason not to use it between fights.

    For the most part I like it, only a handful of times have I had a bad experience with it, most notable is probably Labyrinth of the Ancients, where during the Atomos fight if someone pulls super early to where majority of alliance aren't there by time barrier goes up, everyone gets teleported to A and it's a wipe.
