I was a Fem Roe about about 2 and half years. I needed something to change. I like the results; she looks like a diet Roe now

In all honesty, I'm done with the topic now. I didn't like how the SCH reacted to me saying "No esuna?" because that's literally all said when I died. But yeah, it would've been better if I just said I had a controller problem and just ended it after the WHM replied. That's it, really. Now I need to get my Eureka weapons lol

Like that WHM, I would have immediately apologized after your "no esuna" comment simply to diffuse the situation so we can just move on. However, after the WHM apologized you allowed him/her to shoulder that fault knowing full well that you had a faulty controller in earshot of the entire party. That's pretty lame, dude. The SCH was sticking up for his/her co healer in that situation as they are aware that Doom is avoidable against the Harpies.

If I was in that party, I probably would have not voted to kick you because I would just see the situation as both players are at fault and let's just move on. But if knew what I know now, I would have definitely voted to boot you and I am probably one of hardest players to get to go along with a kick. Going forward, I would advise that you be more humble and own up to your own mistakes. This goes a long way in preventing reporting from even taking place, and wasting the time of the GMs.

A simple "I'm so so so sorry, my controller glitched and I couldn't dodge. Thank you for the rez I think I got it fixed now" comment, would have saved so much grief on everybody's part. It's not worth a report just based on what you said, the party was justified in kicking you. Granted yes healers should be watching for debuff's, accidents happen. However by not even mentioning you were glitched and starting an argument. As someone on the outside looking in and oblivious to the situation you're going through, it could come across as you being the "Dodging? ain't no one got time for that, I got dps to do! Healers fix all my whoop'es!" type of player. Further fueled by picking a fight.

I agree with Aylis, this could have been resolved or gone much differently had you confessed to the glitch instead of immediately blaming the healers, sure they could have fixed it but regardless the issue started with you and you let it go on much longer than it needed instead of just being honest when the SCH said it was avoidable "Yeah, sorry, my controller glitched".

So, let's leave out all the information the others had not, it looks like this:

    > You get doomed
    > You die
    > You get a little bit snarky about "healers doing their job badly"
    > You continue to talk like that

It is unfortunate, but by just simply saying that you had technical difficulties (which, in fact, caused you to get the debuff yourself; not the healer's fault.) could've saved so much in this situation - and most probably from being kicked.

That is like setting your BBQ on fire because you had problems with your lighter and then smack talk the fire department because they could not save it.

Just move on from this particular case, the threshold for a proper report is far from being reached in your story.

    Sincerely,

The scholars job was to heal primarily and to watch for debuffs and those needing heals. You shouldn't have had to ask why your debuff wasn't removed. They should have been alert with that cast for Doom because it's pretty common for some in the party to get it. Sadly some are more concerned with their dps than with their primary role. I see it lots of time with my co-healers who prefer to dps rather than cast heals and top people off when needed.

You shouldn't have been kicked for calling them out for it as long as you were polite but at this point it's simply best to move on.

Goes without saying yeah, at this point hope you've moved on since not worth losing sleep over in the long run.

I've ran as a whm in OM since it dropped - and this is absolutely one of those times where people read too much into something and overreact.

People are going to get hit by aoes, period. Most will try to avoid it, but sometimes people are way out of position or whatever. It's not a big deal to just esuna someone and move on - that's part of the healer role. Was it avoidable? Yup. But it happens, who cares, hit the button, and move on. A healer refusing to esuna when needed is like a bard refusing to use foe's requiem, or a warrior refusing to use provoke. It's part of the kit, and at that level it's not at all unreasonable for people to expect people to know what their buttons do. Not every ast will make the connection that they can extend lucid dreaming with celestial opposition - but they should know what both individually do and be able to use them as individual buttons.

That said - when someone tried to call out someone else for poor play or a mistake or something, that immediately puts them on the defensive, and it rarely leads somewhere good.

Couple weeks ago, on Cid in monastary.... you stack so the healers can heal you to remove that doom. One RDM decided to flip back to the south 40 - moved to the back right wall - and STAYED there. And then took the time to type "UMM HEALS" when they weren't getting hit by the group aoe heals. They didn't die, as the sch and myself still healed them up individually once the rest were sorted, but them stopping to type that when they were out of position was a bit of a grr. I think I put something like, "Oh you don't want heals?" in chat, don't remember. I didn't stop healing them, even if I was tempted - and I didn't say anything more about it and neither did they.

Lot of newer people have been around lately, and a lot of them are rushing content to be ready to be on the ground floor with ShB in a couple months. Lot of returner flowers in 70 content, including OM. Depending on how long they've been away or played total - maybe some only ran with friends through content and they aren't used to having to trust a random person to heal them since it was always a friend in the past. Or they are used to having a full group from their FC in voice chat in discord during monastary but with so many people on breaks right now, they're only 4 of their usual 8...and maybe their healers are the overhealing variety who like to keep people capped. Who knows.

Little empathy goes a long way. Didn't need to bite the healer about no esuna; didn't need to bite you for being in an aoe; didn't need to keep on about it; didn't need to kick anyone. Was just a series of unfortunate events.
