This sums it up pretty well. I don't even find it that useful for Ifrit, though. I think Resonance should offer some kind of MP reduction on top of the range boost.So I apologize if I missed some stuff but I only read the OP!
I started using Resonance late in 1.19 for Ifrit in situations where it wasn't safe to move into range of a player who was a bit out of cast range.
Being able to Raise and remain safe during Ifrit's rush was something I considered very valuable. Also Resonance helps during Ifrit where I am able to heal the tank at auto-attack range as a melee when mages had their hands full dodging cracks and such.
That being said, I think increased range is restricted to being useful in niche situations such as the aforementioned.
