[Request] Viera/Hrothgar Naming Conventions for Missing Genders

(I feel this is a distinct enough request from the other "genderlock" threads to merit its own. If you wish to voice your support for making male Viera and female Hrothgar playable, please go here and/or here.)

If we're not getting male Viera and female Hrothgar (at least at this time), at the very least can we get the naming conventions alongside their playable counterparts? I ask not only for hypothetical purposes, but for the sake of lore and those who want to make them anyway using placeholders (Hyur/Miqo'te with the GS bunny ears or making a Viera/Hrothgar and rolling them as the opposite gender).

We should be able to work it out even if they don't officially give us the answers (though I hope they do).

Someone in another discussion pointed out that since Viera gender is hard to distinguish as children, they might not actually have gendered names - though there could be some other cultural aspect like taking a new name as an adult.

And the one actual Hrothgar name we know of is female (Queen Gunnhildr, from the gunbreaker lore description) so it's likely they're taking the same "please refer to this real-world culture for names" route they did for the Au Ra clans.

This is not an argument about whether they should be in the game or not.

They have been confirmed to exist in the 'real' world of Eorzea even if they do not in the game programming. They have been written into the lore of those playable races' cultures, and might even get talked about (again, Queen Gunnhildr has already been officially mentioned), therefore it is not unreasonable to ask if the writers have specific naming conventions in mind for them.

I agree, that the other genders do exist to me makes it pertinent to add both naming conventions.

Its not about whether Male Viera or female Hrothgar become playable, its about allowing creativity with the game concepts.

I think it also builds up further insight into the Viera and Hrothgar culture which can only be a boon.

Good point actually. I wonder about another thing though. Hrothgars probably will have names based on Scandinavian ones, so it's possible to presume not only their First, but Last names as well. In case with Vieras - did we ever heard them to have Last Name at all?

I don't think there are any viera with surnames in Ivalice lore, and the only one we've seen in XIV so far is Fran.

why dont you want to know the lore? they dont have to be implemented for someone to say "oh yeah, steve is a super common bunny boi name"

Why oppose this? Not particularly interested in the races, but if the obligatory naming convention Forum Post will come, it won't hurt any of you if it contains some more information. Seriously, stop being childish.
