You're forgetting another reason to support this.
Those of us who want to play with those who would want to main one.
Just cause I main a greycatte and merely have an alt femroe does not mean I'm not absolutely delighted every time I see a femroe in the wild.
Other people getting customization options that I personally wouldn't use for my main is still a bonus to my gameplay experience as it breathes vibrancy into all the wonderfully unique characters I get to meet in the world! ♥

I wont play a male Viera and yet I supported that too. When people said that they want more male glamours or wanted the male bunny suit I supported them too even though I wont use it. Why should only people support it that 100% would play it? I mean I want a beastly female race and I am completely against genderlocks but it still could be that I wont play them simply because they could not be my taste when they are finally in the game.

@xbahax92: Well I am not sure if calling or hinting that someone is a fanatic or that they only care just about male Viera is the good way to go or helps a dicussion at all. It only starts even more verbal wars in these threads. Also its of course not the same as from the start because people have chosen to write more calmly (lets not forget that they were attacked for being more emotional with that too..) but that does not mean that its less strong. On one hand its bad that some are posting a bit more often or even daily in these threads and are attacked for it, but on the other hand if someone just posts once than suddenly its not as strong anymore. (Also the poster never talked about the storm itself, just about the demand)

It's not just about maining one. It's unfair that males now have an option for a race that isn't just a human with fancy ears or whatever and girls don't. Having hrothgar of both genders would open a door to future possibilities that is desperately needed.

I haven't because that's where I squarely land. That's why i've been mostly quiet about this. I've been quietly searching for those who want to play Female Hrothgar so I can lend my voice to theirs but they are barely heard over this bickering. I fear they will end up like fem Roes. I you look at the forums a very good portion of the playerbase seem to like Fem Roes but no one is willing to play them. That is what makes me sad. The people who sit on the sidelines wishing for something instead of dedicating themselves to see it happen.

Ehhh. Im not here to judge anyones request either. But I can have an opinion about others.
If you followed the other thread you would know some posts been rather shocking?
I mean ok, everyone can have their own opinion and wishes, I dont really care. But they should stop the wishful thinking.
When reading "I would like to have male Viera in 5.1, 5.2 and maybe before female Hrothgar", proves my point by far. Also that they would be ok to sacrifice content to get the opposite genders is also a bit to much (in my opinion?).
Its not my job to call people fanatics, but if they appear to have the attitude of "I cannot play this game without them anymore or I need them in my life" should not act like one.

I think it's about time to let this thread die. It has served it's purpose.

Yoshida wanted to get the opinion of players on whether or not they want the missing genders of the new races, and I think these two threads have more than shown that there are quite a few people who do want them. So now they know. Which means Yoshida will follow through on finishing them if the time and resources allow for it. That has always been his answer since Hrothgar were announced at Fan Fest. That they will try to make them, but that he can't make any promises due to the excessive resources they require.

So complaining about not having them or demanding them unrealistically early isn't helpful at all. Just be patient and wait for Yoshida to find the time and resources to start working on them. It won't be anytime soon (likely no earlier than 6.0), but at least they will likely be coming eventually.

This is why I deluded myself into thinking that SE spent all of the past 2 expansions working on races to explain why BluFever would say that we're getting 2 new races. Thought maybe "Oh, they must have worked on one for all of HW but couldn't finish in time for expansion so saved it and added on Viera before completing them both" or something. To avoid a situation where people are begging for the least popular option for these races cause to be blunt I just don't see them doing it. Everything lines up for them to not have a reason to. they don't want a Femroe 2.0 I'm sure and if they legit think these are all the models for Players they can handle then ok, this was clearly the best path to pleasing the most people.



At the end of the day it's easy to say "I WANT" to anything without regard for reality and limits or factoring in your desire levels. Hell, I would LOVE Namazu to be a playable race. If someone made a thread for it I'd "like" it and maybe post "I love Namazu!". But it's not something I'd play nor is it something I need or see as important to my ongoing enjoyment of the game. That's what I hear when I read that Yoshi wants to look at not just the "feedback" but also the "temperature" of said feed back. The temperature is not high for either thread as far as I can tell.
