Yes you do because it's locked to the achievement. Buying them is not enough to secure the salvager will have them afterwards.
Try to focus on the ones you want to get more, doesn't need to be a rush to get them just a little thing to work towards each time you play the game.
Oh, of course. I would just love to get them all.
Currently heavily focused on Warrior, Paladin, and Bard.
Just sad to think I will miss some sets.
SE could also remove that restriction on having to equip them and let the NPC search what sets you have complete with its weapon and gives you the option to choose which title you want, since the description of the achievement only states that you have to obtain the 5 pieces (head, body, hands, legs and feet) with their weapon.
Just like how Gerolt in Eureka lets you choose which weapon you want to upgrade if you have more than one eligible weapon in your armory.Obtain X and a full five-piece set of Y Garo gear and speak with the disreputable priest. Accessories not required.
And that's were the confusion occurs as if you query the titles at the Priest it says; "Equip a full set of armour (head, body, hands, leg, feet) and matching class weapon purchased from the Disreputable Priest, and present yourself to her to receive the title".
So even though the achievement list doesn't say to equip them specifically, the system (at the NPC) does which may not get changed. Jonathas (the achievement guy) has a similar requirement for some gear as well in that you need to wear them, maybe it's just flagged like that purpose.
The mounts are by far the most worrying part because of the queues, especially Feast.
Reducing the wins by half would be a big help.
...but... you have 6 MONTHS to get them? Past level 30 you can use PvP to level up aswell, if not having all your jobs at 60 is the problem. You have quite enough time not to miss any of the sets - if you want to collect them all.
I got them all within a week when it came out, and Q times aren't actually much slower than back then. The feast pops a lot in the weekends (they were instapops for me yesterday on healer) , so do FLs. If you play at peak times, it'll probably take 2 weeks max.
6 months is plenty of time, unless you really suck at PvP.
I am still salty that PvP was gutted in Stormblood for those people who are like "Ughe PvP", who still don't play it even after it was gutted. It used to be much more fun.

I would love to get the gold mount but UGH, I can't bring myself to do the 4v4 or 8v8 matches.. I just cringe at PvP in this game. It feel bad to me.
Also FC mates are saying the queue times are stupid long for those.
