I feel like world visit is negatively impacting communities.

I do find it kinda funny that it's mostly people visiting who are turning Ul'dah into Goldshire 2.0, rather than it having been that way in the first place. Talk about a self-fulfilling prophecy. I will say I won't be sad to see the trolls leave but I am still having a blast with the world-visit feature. It's really nice to interact with new people again.

I picked up this game in '17 coming from RP in WoW and I've been wanting to get on Balmung ever since. I know the server visit function isn't why I was finally able to get a character made on the server, but at least the off world trolls have an indicator to let people know they're off world in this game. Since WoW never had a need to halt new character creation on specific high pop servers, any high pop RP server had this same problem and it was all level one alts on the actual server.

As someone who played 10 out of 15 years on high pop RP servers in WoW (and as can be seen evidenced here by other player comments) the assumption that an RP population is "just a bunch of ERPers" and the novelty of seeing what exactly that looks like will not "fade away". SE opened the flood gates and now the trolls are here. Those people will never get bored of bothering RPers. They're here to stay until they can't visit anymore. People like them are how the Goldshire meme began in WoW in the first place. I watched the Lion's Pride fill with level one "funalts" from off server players. I was a part of those communities and watched in horror as innocent meet up places for beginner RP turned into an endless sea of naked characters. I'm not saying that no one on the server went to those places for the reason they existed, because we all had friends who spent just a little too much time in Goldshire. What I am saying is that it's not surprising to me that the only lewd chat I've seen while leveling my new pugilist and running around in Uldah was from people with off world tags. It's not a shock to me that now that people can visit Balmung, the only thing they're interested in is ERP. Some people will never be able to grasp that there can be and usually is a non sexual component to RP. It didn't "ruin" Moon Guard, Earthen Ring, or Silver Hand. It probably won't ruin Balmung.

Now that off world MB purchasing? Oof. I'm sorry for your (ours now because I finally play here too!) economy.

It seems that those who were doing ERP from Balmung that wanted to stay on Aether have gone to Sargatanas. Limsa on the last few days has had a lot of it going on.

LOL! I hated that. I had to rebuild all by hotbars when SB started because they killed the standing still mage bard.

What does someone's circle have to do with the fact that skills will be removed/changed in 5.0 and you will have no idea what changed because you don't read patch notes?

People on Diabolos were complaining about that just this morning. Its apparently a group from Balmung going around to all the servers.
