just party up with one VERY annoying healer uuuugggghhh

- guy acting like he's the leader/pointman of the party, complete with very "friendly" attitude
- just aggroing mob without our concern (acting like tank)
- all three of us still killing this mob and he just went AND aggro the next mob and bring it back to us
- DRG (new, no sync mark yet) miss the boss cutscene because the healer just aggro the boss and trigger the 15 sec barrier warning, nothing missable but i feel sorry for the DRG

some people i swear they just play with "the rest are just bot/companion" mindset ugh

When a duty begins to turn bad, and nothing is going right...just switch up music to accommodate the hijinx.


The other day when we returned from a 24 hour period of down time (oh look its down again) lol, we where running the duty where we are fighting Gaius's girlfriend, being a healer I started to notice a considerable amount of people where being damaged and of need of healing, on top of that I was starting to be the focus of numerous enemy's, 6 to 8 aoe's would target me and I would have to run...

and loose my cast time. I finally had to call for help as they where really piling on and I was taking damage

to ensure the others got their heals...., but I seemed to be the only one pulling aggro...and I wasn't the tank.


So on our way to the next location I ran past the tank again hoping he might, idk, use his aggro powers this time...while saying in local chat. "Im jumping into the tanks arms, he seems to be the only one not being attacked." There was silence, but he began to pull.


The other fun part about this little adventure was the one tank had gone afk, and the other healer was new and I was trying to walk him through healing, I had to rez him a couple times in the middle of it, since he stood in the aoe's , in fact seemed determined to jump into every one of them.

... alliance raids ... Fighting for aggro...

Tanks in alliance raid I think are likely dps disguised as tanks for the bonus, because it happens very often, as PLD, that I get aggro even doing boss in dps stance and half asleep. To lose aggro I need stop playing and patiently wait. Too bad cannot shirk outside party.

Orbonne has taken me a few runs to really get down the mechanics, but I was so happy to be making it through a run without dying at all! Everything was going well, I was rocking and rolling as my MCH and we get to the Thunder God.

I feel this boss's mechanics while on the surface seem complicated, once you understand where to move to shouldn't be as difficult as people make it out to be. Anyway, the whole run goes to hell in a handbasket with one alliance constantly wiping everyone due to a misplaced AOE.

After two attempts, the group votes Abandon and it all turned into a big waste of time. I only run Orbonne because of the coins you need to upgrade to the i400 gear, otherwise I wouldn't even touch it with a ten foot pole.

Reminds me of the many years I spent on WoW. Aren’t we so excited those people are coming to this game.

I had a run of Orbonne last night through Alliance roulette (First run on Crystal so it was fun seeing new people from the other worlds) that ended up as a travesty.

Mustadio was totally fine, some people got hit or didn't know how analysis worked, but we worked through. Used melee LB3, minimal deaths in our group, was great.

Agrias is where we first wiped during the add phase, (we were in alliance B and our tank ran to grab A's add). We tried salvaging it but wiped, which is not the best outcome but it happens. Vote dismiss immediately pops, and we all reject it. I set up markers and we jump back in with minimal issues (some other dps did not kill the phantoms on time during the portal phase so it was ehh).

We get through the trash (sadly someone dropped aoe markers on me and I died even after yatening the hell out of there) and get to TG. Now I set up markers, we go through a countdown, and it begins. Everything is going great healing is on point, until we get to the Crush Weapon. It picks on our tank and he doesn't immediately make a beeline out of there and instead runs through me and kills me. "Just having a bad run I guess" I figure in my head as we get sent to the add phase. One of the other alliances is absolutely wrecked with only 3 people left by this point so we kill our add, help the other full alliance and make a run to the final but the gauge hits 100 and we wipe.

Immediate vote dismiss that gets rejected, we had back and prepare for the next pull. All of alliance A, 5 people in our alliance, and about 4 in C are the area so we're waiting for more (about 5 people dropped from Alliance C at the time). Someone decides to pull aggro on TG(not sure if troll or was pet aggro at this time) and we all just stand there and look at it. People start picking up their weapons and fight him as we're in chat going "Why." Everyone dies and we all respawn and head back to the area with a vote dismiss being rejected at the time. We wait before taking the jump(we lost 5 people in our alliance by now) and again someone decides to pull aggro AGAIN without everyone being there. My Primal partner asks me "Does this happen normally on Aether?" and I say "No, this has to be trolling at this point" which we both decide we're done with this group and just leave. We go back into alliance rou and get Crystal Tower which it goes through with no issues and we were both just exhausted after that.

That sounds like a nightmare. TG isn't that bad of a fight either. After the first vote abandon popped up and was rejected, I would think that the first pull was to restrict people from leaving or initiating another vote abandon. The 2nd time vote abandon came up and got rejected, should have just let that person leave the raid. Replacements are just a click away.

I can't stand the people who think "We wiped once to a boss that's pretty hard in casual content. We didn't one shot the entire raid. The group is trash." *Vote abandon*
I figure they are the same people who I encounter in Ex fights who are like "Yeah, we've already cleared once and we didn't even come close to enrage, but it was 30 secs slower than my fastest run... so DPS is too low." *leaves party*

I was in that run on Alliance A Yeah it was someone that got pissed over the vote dismiss rejection (on group C) But once that jank pull wipe happened the new groups filled up and we downed Cid and Ultima right after on my groups end we had a constantly afk DPS and the rest didnt learn to stack until the second time by the fourth and final time they finally had it down pat. We didnt dismiss the afk guy cause he was genuinely actually trying during the second and fourth round.

To add a little insight to As performance issues 6 of the group got thier mapping the realm achieve when we got got into Ultimas room.
