So how's your patch day been?

Not having fun on Exodus. FC mates and I have been camping on and off all day trying to get a small, any small. We can afford multiple larges but we'll take what we can get. This timer is ridiculous.

this is the main downside to that timer, someone that already has a house can swoop in and buy it out from under you, and THAT plot they just vacated will now have a timer on it counting down, meanwhile the person trying to get their first house is utterly screwed and now trying to beat the bots AND another owner to the punch on the newly vacated plot, i get that house flipping was a huge problem and against tos, but there needs to be something in place to help new blood into the system

Thanks, although I think I'll have to call it after waiting 12 hours and still not seeing any of the open plots on Malboro unlocked.

I'm just going to keep saying until I get permabanned on the forums: whatever dev thought the random timer for housing plots was a good idea is a stupid [-MULTIPLE EXPLETIVES DELETED-] with no regard for or understanding of human decency.

It's possible, but i found out about the timer the hard way about a month ago. i came back from a break that i started just before 4.2 and didn't know about the timer. Had my dream plot on the beach in Shiro 19 a medium and i released it figuring i could buy it right back as an FC plot for the FC i made for my friends..... yeah, lost that plot.

So quickly did some research and found out that they were going to turn auto-decay w/ this patch so i did everything i could to get 2 small plots for when this patch released. in a week on Famfrit i had 2 small plots in the Goblet. Them doing the transfer thing was just an added bonus and opened up plots sooner. got a private medium plot in Shiro and a large plot for the FC this morning. I will say i do like the mechanic but not how it's implemented. it should be more like a 30min-3 hour timer and relocation being able to bypass it should have been turned off about a week or two after the intro of the extra wards.

Yeah, been camping one for 12 hours. My FC mate was camping another one which got taken by someone else who was clicking, so can confirm. Unfortunately, there are other people at the one I am currently out :/

I guess in a way that’s sort of good news, part of me was worried that I was sitting here clicking for nothing but maybe it’ll come open eventually before I pass out.
