Balmung listed as a Standard World

I'm so torn! I had moved away a few months ago, and I really missed Balmung at first, but Coeurl has a lot of new faces which has been nice. The world visiting is actually quite smooth (from my limited testing).

Have they made any official statements as to whether or not you will still be able to visit Balmung once it's locked down on transfers?

It is still open to world visit even though it is locked for new characters. Only if a world is labeled as a congested world will it hinder the world travel system.

* Depending on the congestion of the target World, it may take several minutes to complete the transfer. Transfers will occur automatically and cancel all current actions/duties.

I imagine Balmung will probably go back to congested in a few weeks, but I guess time will tell. I just don't want to be blocked from my friends there lol. WTB dual-citizenship please.

Balmung starter cities were so crowded it started to affect my FPS xD. I visited the other servers and only Mateus comes close in terms of crowd size xD.

Half of mateus was on Balmung and half of Balmung was on Mateus. The shout chat there this morning was hilarious. That Wanderer FC has an awful lot of members :P

Hard to say atm but i never had a problem before the reorganization and leveling was an insta pop for me this morning as a healer. Same with Mateus where I ran two levelings.

Also today I had a login queue. I cried.

Balmung has been relatively quick getting in with no queue of late except on major patch days for like the first few hours then back to no queue. At least from what I have noticed.

The server has nothing to do with your quetimes. Your group gets filled with people from your whole datacenter...

As has been said queues pull from everyone in the datacenter.

For Odin specifically though you can expect long queues for it as it isn't in Trial Roulette so you can only get people directly queuing for it or people doing Mentor Roulette in your party.
For content that isn't in normal roulettes (examples include Odin, Extreme Primals, Minstrel's Ballad fights, Coil, and Savage Raids) you'll have better luck using Party Finder to get a group together than the Duty Finder.
