Except Balmung is one of the exceptions where it is usually closed, indefinitely. No matter what time of day. Was only open for like 5 hrs before being closed again. XD Not really surprised it closed down again.

That's because we're, what, the single most populated server in the game? We're still a standard world on the listing.

Did it go back to congested? I'm surprised the opened up Balmung today. I thought for sure it would stay locked until the free transfers were through and things were settled down in the new data centers. Maybe even until post ShB launch given how crazy Balmung queue times were on SB launch.

I doubt it... it's probably just loaded with characters both on server and visiting. Might need to wait for early morning if it's not accepting more characters at the moment. I have a level 70 whm there but made another alt there this morning when the server came up. I want a potential Hrothgar there for fun.

Right now its too 'congested' for regular character creation, but transfers are still open. At this rate it might only be open for a week or less, and the only shot some people have throughout Shadowbringers. Its great if you want that crowded city vibe.

No it's closed for both but with the new visit system is there actually any point of locking any servers anymore

Aww, it actually let me select the server on CC, then I spent too long on customization and thinking of a name and it locked right back up lol

Also today I had a login queue. I cried.

(I didn't really cry though because I'm a highlander male and we shave our eyebrows instead).

The servers seem pretty smooth though in the actual game, so that's cool . Maybe in a few years or so we'll have pretty much seamless no border and no restriction servers (sort of the perfected shard concept people may be familiar from some other games).

Balmung starter cities were so crowded it started to affect my FPS xD. I visited the other servers and only Mateus comes close in terms of crowd size xD.
