I was in Dusk Vigil with my summoner. I main BRD, and I tend to look at what other bards do, maybe to give a hand or an advice if needed, and we got this BRD and...

He just kept doing straight shot. Just. Just Straight Shot. No songs, no other skills, nothing. Just Straight Shot. The whole dungeon.

I tried to tell him, but nothing changed.

I'm going to hear that repeated 'toc-toc' from the animation in my nightmares man.

just me or this day pug got me a lot of tank who didn't use tank stance?

- run with 2 DRK who never use grit from start until the end of dungeon despite above level 30. me and another dps keep getting aggro everywhere, after all that the tank still has the NERVE to scold us instead saying that its our fault that we (the DPS) should maintain our aggro? wat??????
- 1 with warrior again didnt use tank stance, but this guy is either non english or just plain ignoring us the whole time.
- 1 paladin who use dps stance but thankfully this one knew and do it on purpose so he switch back to tank stance after 2 wipe lol
- another DRK who again just stay quiet and ignore us, after several wipe, he just leave party zzzzzzz

i mean, if you are so EAGER TO DAMAGE then switch to DPS and damage all you want, did someone start a new trend of non tank stance on dungeon or something?

I'm completely fine with tanks not being in tank stance as long as they keep aggro even against strong dps and don't put too much pressure on me as a healer.
But the moment mobs start running rampart or they're getting trounced so hard that I have to spam Cure2 after everything else is on CD, I speak up and ask them to at least switch to tank stance for the start of fights. It's their job to keep aggro and their should be a balance between tank und healer dps, also because putting abnormal amount of pressure on the healer means any slight mishap will result in a wipe.
The group doesn't gain anything if the dps (and sometimes even healer) has to hold back just so the tank can dish out a little more nor if you wipe because tank gets trounced.

So had the chrysalis pop up in duty finder late one night. Had a returning player healer, 2 new dps, a new healer, a clueless samurai, a blm that likes to fall down amd a warior whos full dee dee dee. So naturally, you wanna explain the fight, and what goes on in it right? Well the warrior had other ideas, I mean cmon, you can just wing that fight right? Yea...no. most new players wont have seen some mevhanics, one of em unique to the encounter. So I had to basicalky take aggro from the warrior constantly, we wiped at next phase ofc. I then proceeded to try and explain the fight and....warrior yolos to boss again.....didnt even wait for protect this time. Sighs I hope warrior gets put back into OT position in shadowvringers, I see this idiotic attitude with most of em, but I digress.

So I started explaining everything while at the same time, doing the fight, we wiped again since I couldnt explain orbs and how to avoid dying from them in time. We wiped also cuz Samurai was clueless and didnt know how to lb...and wasnt responding to chat. So had machinist lb instead. 3rd time going warrior stood there. So I was able to explain everything, we then tried again, a dps stayed dead on the ground not responding for a whole 10 mins. Turns out she was on a wireless kb that uses batteries.....if your gonna wireless in a mmo please get a proper gaming wireless keyboard, like a Razer Turret. Those last up to 100 hours of use on a full charge, and charge from a dock. Also warrior barely moved only going in to attack a few times or provoke aggro to then have me take it back then she stands there again.

So 4th try, at this point was 330am, I was over 30 mins past my bed time, warrior fake dced. We kicked, got a properky played tank, another paladin. We got the foght done, I got 6 comms for my patience. Gg.

Thought about posting about an alphascape middy run some days ago but after a couple of them-more like failed 3-4 times per middy run-thought i would share my general thoughts.

1) Fight designed clearly to wipe the floor with dps and healers alike. Well more like dps mucking up to the point healers have no more resources to save the raid.

2) Watched old and new players alike take an ahk rai to the face and not moving out. Special shout out that new guy who saw the beam of light land on his toon, stayed thwre for 2 seconds...4 seconds....aaaand death. Two times in one run. One more time on the 3rd.

3) Everyone dead at dps check? Naturally.

4) Everyone alive but still not clearing it? Naturally.

5) Wipe at 10%? Duhhhh

6) LB3 at the ready, healer is at slightly less than 3k mp. Only me and as usual my great co-tanks (btw pld, in the words of Tormund, I would've commed you 10 times over at how awesome you were) are alive, everyone else dead. Healer could lb3 or hardcast rez. Guess which one was picked.

I will never forget the time Midgard was down to 10% and everyone was dead except myself and the other tank, both PLDs. we took turns hallowed-grounding the stacker... and when we didn't have any more hallowed-ground, I stacked rampart and sentinel and tanked it anyway. Those heals, man. PLDs are legit multiclass tanks/healers.
