    I'm sorry that a game made plans about a year before now and that they didn't realize that a holiday that isn't prominent in Shinto faith was right around the same time. I'm also sorry to tell you that they reserve the right to take the game down for any reason with no compensation for its player base. I'm even more sorry that you didn't think to double check information on something we knew was going to happen since this past fall.

    While you are correct, they have that right, we are actually all getting an extra day of gametime added to our subs because of it. Even those that don't specifically play in NA servers.

    Indeed they are, but they are not required to. I can understand why people are upset, but this maintenance has been out and known about for a long while. So calling SE out for the players' mistakes is just dumb.

    Everyone with an account can play on any server. Sure they COULD go and find only accounts that have a character on NA servers, but whos to say someone didn't want to make a new character on an NA server today.
    Everybody with an active account gets an extra day! :D
