I'm gonna point out something funny, and I hope it makes people laugh. But there is a way of getting the weapons you see in the trailer, but it's not gonna be easy
Here's how....
You'll have to beat UwU (Ultima Weapon Ultimate). The weapon silhouettes you see at the end are the Zodiac Weapons, so they are nothing new and already in the game
I had assumed he meant things like the machine-guns the soldiers used.
"Politics are for kings and lords, talk of wealth for merchants, the rest of us should concern ourselves with the health and wellbeing of one another."
I get that about the new outfit. Honestly it has a few to many flourishes here and there to be a hit with me; and that hood, yeesh. And while the XV outfits you linked are nice, I can't say I would look good in them. And I get what you mean about the actual outfit we get. I haven't played XV but I think his outfit changes after the time skip to show his maturity, which is exactly what you are saying. There's a reason I've been telling my friends that this is the outfit of a shounen protagonist, lol. As for weapons, I guess see below. Though that doesnt change anything for anyone who wanted anything specific from XV.In one aspect, yes very similar. However i didn't want similar, i wanted them. Hence the reason i went through the trouble of finding both the female and male variants. In saying that, i also wanted FFXIV themed weapons for all classes. Noctis's clothes are fine for most, but my character looks a bit to old to be running around in something more suited to what my son would wear.
The OP specifically mentions the weapons in the trailer, the ones in the background when the title appears. But if you look at them, they are the Zodiac Weapon's or most of them are; I know the DRK one is its "original" endgame weapon from HW. And UwU is the only place to get all of the weapons with that particular aesthetic.
Also, if you pay attention you'll notice something else about the weapons. Throughout the trailer the WoL is depicted as a SAM; not surprising give the current expansion. But when the weapons appear on screen there are only 14, a funny node in itself. It might be hard to see, especially if the player you are viewing the trailer on keeps that play icon after you pause it, but the weapons go in this order: DRK, WHM, MNK, BRD, RDM, SCH, SAM, WAR, MCH, SMN, BLM, NIN, AST, and PLD. You can see that DRG is missing. But when the title appears, the DRG weapon is the one paired up with Noctis' weapon to form the X. I guess it makes sense since it's the only weapon to have significant length. But it does seem odd that the focal job is a SAM but the focal weapon is for a DRG; a subtle nod to both expansions maybe, lol. I doubt it. It was probably just the most convenient solution.

I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.
