No Houses available after paying for it??????

To those warning of a ban, the OP doesn't sound like they plan to touch the game any further after the feature they were looking forward to was unavailable. I don't necessarily agree with the chargeback unless it was a feature SE specifically advertised to them as part of their initial purchase/subscription, but I can see the frustration of running into a wall. This is a game, a digital environment and the producers willingly created an artificial limitation (on multiple levels at that) that didn't need to exist. Mijorious, best of luck finding a game that works for you and the family.

Get one, in your case op each 1 family member can get one each in the same ward and apartment wing, i believe there are 4 of you. So 1st room can be themed as bedroom, 2nd can be bathhouse, 3rd can be kitchen and dining, 4th can be office themed.

While that's a great alternative for decorative space alone, that lacks the ability to crossbreed still and family members can only interact with items in their own 'room'. It also lacks outdoor space and since fcs cannot get apartments, the workshop.

off topic, but I really like the gif in your signature! also legends of aria, or ultima online might be more to their liking. if housing and gardening is their primary focus though, they can just play rust, because in that game a person needs a base, garden, source of water to survive :P. that's probably a bit too hardcore though so maybe ARK on a PVE server?

My wife, both Sons and I bought FF14 over a month ago. We love the game and spend every day playing it. But one of the biggest things that sold us on the game was the housing. gardens? YES!

Anyway, we all have put soooo much time and effort into the game over the past month so we can buy houses. Now, we are all almost 50, have been trying to get up our GC rank, and of course make the gil to buy them. So today we had a family get together to pick where we are all going to live and . . . . .

NOT A SINGLE HOUSE AVAILABLE ANYWHERE????????? WTF?

What kind of stupid game is this where we all buy it and pay a monthly fee for housing that doesn't exist when they advertise that it does?

Well, it is what it is and we can't get back the wasted time we spent, but we better get all of our money back. Already submitted a charge-back with our bank.

I'm posting this so others new to this game or considering buying it will not do so. It's the biggest piece of garbage on the market for advertising something you cannot get in the game.

Every other game I've played has instanced housing that EVERYONE can enjoy. The creators should have learned from the other great games that worked.

We have instanced housing. It's called apartments.

If you ever get to level 50 and attain the rank of Second Lieutenant, you'll have the opportunity to purchase one just like you'd have the opportunity to purchase a house at that time if any are available.

Since you haven't met the eligibility requirements for housing ownership yet, of course nothing is available to you.

The good news is that since you're already level 45 and Sgt First Class with your Grand Company, it shouldn't take much longer for you to become eligible.

With respect to houses specifically, as opposed to housing in general, they are a limited resource and as such there is competition among players to own one. The supply right now has dried up on all NA servers because auto-demolition has been suspended since the hurricanes and wildfires last fall, and because SE is giving away 3 million gil to house owners who transfer during the data center reorganization.

Auto-demo will start back up next week and the free transfer period will start, which will free up a large number of houses over the next 8 weeks on most servers.

Work on your eligibility requirements. Be patient. Stop throwing a temper tantrum over something you clearly didn't bother to research.

I mean, yes I do have houses, but I play this game for so many years now... But I think, ever since they doubled the amount of items you can put in apartments, they're really fun to decorate as well. Yes you have no gardening, but they gonna add that probably in 5.X anyway (as mentioned in other threads).

And if you're such a new player, not even level 50 and can barely affort a house, you won't have money for furniture anyway, I assume tho... sure you can level up all crafters and gatherers as well, but that takes some time, and since you seem to hate the game so much ......... xD

But yeah as I was trying to say: Apartments are awesome for a start at housing. They can keep you busy until the auto-demo timer for NA servers are finally back up, and the free transfers are coming very soon as well...

If you weren't already aware though once a plot is relinquished/destroyed, you'll be subjected to a random timer on when the plot becomes available to be purchased. This, in itself, is another kind of headache, so good luck!
