They have shown artwork of the four face Viera are going to have (along with Ear options and some of the hairstyles) during an art stream.

Were these actually confirmed as being in-game options? Artwork can vary quite a bit from what we end up with in game. I've missed most of the recent streams and annoucements :X
Also, I think she's cuteEven with the little duck-lips.

Not even scars...
I'm not expecting a whole lot.
The "greater customization options" will most likely just be being able to choose ear style independent of the face. They don't have tails so they'll be using the data slot for tails on the ears.
They said the same thing about Au Ra and it boiled down to just being able to toggle scales on and off.
If I remember correctly, these were from back during the Paris FanFest when Viera were first shown off, so they could of changed but like Jojokomoko suggests, I wouldn't get your expectations too high.
My expectations are always quite low with this game, so I'm good there.
I will say though, I'm pretty happy with what I've seen so far (I really loved that Viera they used in the Dancer video). For me, the big question will be the emotes. I tend to prefer the more playful variety, and the few that you could see in the race video made them look a bit more stuffy. We'll see soon enough :X

Why do people dislike hyur so much? Especially midlanders
It's kind of a bad look for you to constantly advertise how much more cutsomiseable the new races are when they barely have more options than the standard races from 2010.
