I ran Keeper of the Lake the other week as RDM on the alt. Got asked why I didn't heal or raise the healer when it fell down during playtime with Middy and a wipe followed shortly thereafter.Welcome to what it's like to be an RDM(well your story gives me the impression you were playing an RDM..or maybe a summoner) where people don't even throw a simple ty appreviation of thank you even if you were the one keeping the 4 dungeon party members or 8 people on the raid alive
*wipes solitary tear*

This isn't necessarily just one story, but an overall trend I've been noticing of late with more people coming into the game as the new expansion looms. I really, really wish that the Hall of Novices was mandatory regardless of whether you job skip or not, and that the Hall was updated to better prep newbies for their experiences in duty finder. I've come across way too many lowbie tanks who picked their classes because the weapon looked cool, or healers who just stand around and pick their noses because they likely come from a game where healing uptime is so intense there's not much reason to DPS.
Going into ShB I think a good positive change would be to make a trip to the Hall mandatory before people hit Sastasha, or immediately dump people who skip a job into it or zone them there once the skip is applied. Because people like the healer I got in 50/60 Roulette last night who seemed allergic to DPSing and spammed Adlo like it was going out of style are likely to get yelled at once they reach higher level content. And for no other reason than they likely don't realize this game is so easy to heal that there are entire dungeons at endgame you can manage near 70%-80% DPs uptime and not have the tank dip below half health once.
As for an actual story, I had perhaps the best run of LoTA last night. No one was rude, everyone was doing their jobs, and the run was perhaps the fastest I've ever had in that place in spite of it being the default Alliance Roulette experience these days. It honestly threw a few of us for a loop when we realized that LoTA didn't /need/ to be painful in spite of how easy it tends to be, and I hope that future runs are even half as smooth going forward.

Level 60 dungeon. :P
(Sorry, I found it too funny seeing these two from you on the same page.)
Well, my bad on not noticing the abbreviation
Still u didn't clarify what class u used so I preemptively assumed RDM due to most of my past experiences with it xD(yes I know im dumb xD)
Summoner however has Ressurection in Lv 48 so I think u meant SMN and I derped really hard
So last night I decided I wanted to do a mentor roulette on my sch before bed and I got AV with the sprouts being the dps. They were fine, they listened to me. But this war, who was in all 250 gear Alexander gear, was the worst agro holder I've seen in ages. First off, he runs into the first room and takes a reasonable if not close to hairy amount of adds. Immediately, they are on me and poor eos. Eventually due to my spamming of healing they all dog pile on me and I'm dead and we wipe. We pull again, this time I noticed, 1. the war was only doing one over power and not even hitting all the mobs, which 2. would go onto eos, me, or one of the dps and 3. even though he clearly was barely holding any agro he was switching deliverance on and off for dps which lead to 4. my fairy and myself becoming the tank. I went through 10 different fairies before we even got to the end of the dungeon bc it became the case of 'sorry eos, its either you or me whose getting healed and sustain ain't gonna keep you around.'
To boot, he doesn't listen to me on mechs. I tell him to eat fruit and he doesn't even he has 8 stacks and dies. I tell him to run away from the second boss when swing comes out. Doesn't listen and dies bc he doesn't even have his tank stance on to live through it both times. And with the marbolo's he tanks both at the same time and dances around before dropping his tank stance and loosing all agro to different people and a fairy who can't agree where to point them. And of course bad breath comes out and hits everyone cept luckily me. And of course on the third boss he doesn't listen and won't eat fruit unless he got hit by bad breath which I guess was a mercy considering his stacks didn't go as high as the first boss. And during all of this, he keeps toggling off that tank stance and I keep getting the fear of god shot into my heart as I keep spamming lucid dreaming everytime its off cd. Really wish I had access to diversion at this point.
Thank god I walked away with two comms bc I may have scalped myself if I didn't get acknowledged for healing through literal hell.
Reminds me of a brayfox run on my sch back pre SB. Back when Scholars had leeches as their esuna but not until level 40. Tank was complaining about me not using it during the final boss. Insisted I had it, then I pointed out no I didn't until level 40.
Now, I could have brought out selene if I'd known before hand that I would have needed it. But I didn't know that so I had eos out, and I'd either already used swiftcast to raise someone or hadn't unlocked it yet. (I was still leveling that character at the time and this was pre role actions so I had to level THM to get it.) And I certainly did not have time to hardcast swapping fairies mid boss.
We didn't wipe or die or anything, which is why I was confused the tank was so mad it's not like I was letting him die, but he was annoyed.
Not everyone has RDM leveled - not everyone has all the spells memorized by name, effect, and level of unlocking. Not a lot to go on based on their post - about being asked why they didn't help cure or rez. Maybe the person who asked genuinely didn't know?
Going from 0 to stupid a pretty big jump though.
Just like Scholar's "Excogitation" is a big spell too - or Paladin's "Clemency" - but I'm sure you and everyone knows what level those are available too off the top of your head, right?
