IMG doesn't work?I feel like they're just baiting us...
when it comes to the whole "WoL is becoming a villain" thing.
I'm thinking that the people of Norvrandt may simply view us as such initially considering that their WoLs basically caused the end of the world as they know it and that we'll have to work before we're widely accepted amongst the populace.
It would take something really serious to make the folks back at the Source dislike us after all we've done.
These all sound like locations from Final Fantasy XII.

I think this might be an intentional weirdness. I'm thinking that they're going to be a quite intelligent race.
Since, it would certainly explain why they aren't considered a Beast Tribe, since it suggests that despite their appearance that they actually have the brains to make technological advancements and practical weaponry.
Especially with the reference to them learning the common tongue as a way they manage to create a peaceful co-existence with the realm.
I'm thinking that maybe Marvel's "The Beast" character was an inspiration for their design (The super smart, but very beastly member of the X-Men).
I wonder if the Helions will have some rather spectacular architecture as a result, perhaps with some Allagan(Rokan?)-esk hi-tech features?

If we are based on previous expansions, that's 5 zones and 2 cities. So the speculation is open on the potential sixth zone
Something for Dravania / Abalathia ? (I think Il Mheg kinda covers that, and the further we go from the Cristarium, the more it seems likely that the Flood of Light just erased these areas.
Something on the Source ? (Not too happy about this).
Something "Azys Lla-like"? Secret and plot relevant? (I'd prefer this option!)
I hope there's a secret sixth zone the same way I hear Azys Lla was secret. If there isn't though, I'll be fine with it if it means all five zones get proper attention. Azys Lla and the Lochs especially kind of felt like the msq was in a hurry by the time we got there to get things over with. Five zones with good pacing throughout may be better.
I'm just a bit sad they're all on the First. From what I hear you need the Echo to pass between worlds which means one can't really RP traveling to the First unless you also RP having the Echo.
EDIT: I don't know if it's SE or the Viera kidding themselves thinking the Rava are going to blend in in a jungle though, and going by the examples they give it looks like the Rava just has a good tan really.

It wasn't secret. It was shown in the Tour of the North trailer and spoken about at a fan fest, can't recall if they showed it at fan fest (Tour of the North might have been dropped at one come to think of it), but I specifically remember them mentioning how they had to brush up on bio-engineering terminology when it came to making Azys Lla. I specifically remember all of us spotting the Warring Triad on the Flagship and speculating appropriately. I think the only thing that may have been a secret was the name? We definitely knew it was coming though.
Honestly, while I'd like some more Source-side, I think this is it... Looking at how vastly underused both Azys Lla and the Lochs are, I'd say it's for the best... So much potential in those zones, and they just speed us through them at the end of the expansion and hardly touch them again since... I don't want a third disappointing zone like those...

If Hrorhgar are from Ilsabard, I'd wager we'll see a lot of them in the eventual Garlemald expansion like how Au Ra got a lot in Stormblood. Maybe their home some will be Gagazet?
I'm echoing hopes that Gulg will be a full on volcano zone. Love that callback to FF1 too.
I wonder if we won't have any friendly Pixies, and instead the beast tribe quests will be about Nu Mou vs Pixies?
It if will be mountainous, it'll still not be Gagazet, since that was the Ronso's home on Spira. This plane isn't Spira (Spira might be one of the 13 shards, but it's still not Source.)
I thought it was obvious I meant named after X's Gagazet like how XIV names stuff after other games in the series all the time. Mt. Gulg also in my post is even another example of that. For another example, Doma is named after VI's Doma.

I saw Mt. Gulg and immediately *screams in FFI Lich*.
Also re: the Hrothgar as Gunbreaker origin, just consider perhaps that their lifeways opted to develop gunbreaker technology rather than produce cultural customs that other societies think of as "civilised" or "advanced". Culture's a nonlinear thing, so I don't see a conflict there.
