Female Hrothgar confirmed taller Miqo'te.

Are there pictures of female Hrothgar? I understand they were shown in past Final Fantasy games. If so those images might be a good indicator of what any possible future gender might look like.

There are currently 0 art assets for female hrothgar, all the art posted in their thread is either Ronso art from X or kajat and other fantasy game felinids.

I was under the impression Ronzo and Hrothgar were essentially the same.

This is so annoying. Khloe minion, Fat Cat mount, some line differences. I can understand for Haurchefant because the type of character would just not translate to the west. However, these slight changes often alter the tone or intent to an unnecessary degree

I don't like it too, but whe have what we have. I also heard that in case with lines some of them were originally written in English and then translated to Japanese (maybe it was said somewhere on Lives on Fanfests..? I don't remember) so in case with quest texts we can't even say for sure where exactly text was changed. But it is annoying, I'm agree.

As for the race information itself, I'm glad Hrothgar leaving and coming back was brought up.

Same. Also I'm glad they mentioned females. Because they were able to write "they reproduce with alternative way/reincarnate" and just close thise whole discussion, but they didn't.

I forget which beast tribe in game, but there's one where females are super rare and when there is one, she's taken to be groomed as a future queen. Sahagin maybe? But I assume that's what the Hrothgar do.

Probably! I didn't finish 2.0 and 3.0 beast tribes so can't say which one it was.

They aren't. People need to realize this. Ronso are from Spira, which is a different world then Source, which is XIV. Also, I seriously doubt Yoshi will let the Hrothgar get as gigantic as the Ronso canonicaly are (Kimhari, the smallest non-child ronso was 8 freaking feet tall.)

Thank you for clarifying that. I have a friend who has played just about all the FF games and he keeps referring to the Hrothgar as Ronzo. FFXIV is my first FF game so I'm pretty clueless when it comes to past races etc. I did buy FFXII but haven't gotten very far into the game. This one takes way too much of my time.

Well, the main reason is Kimahri setup from race teaser, and their The First name. They most likely were based on them in some way, but it's not the same race in the end.
