I never expected the other Viera clan to be a different size as that's not the normal. The only one to have that is midlanders to highlanders. Other than that, everything looks like I guessed it would. FFXIV standards for all. Tho getting a HQ pic of them makes me wanna try making one when they come out, but I hate the tiny head with long neck design like Elezens have so I'mma pass. Glad we got them in the game tho. Nice to have other animal like races in here. Now miqo jones won't be alone.

Same with other races, actually. I suppose, Hyur are the only one who has serious differences between clans. :think: It's undertandable from development side, though.

It's a shame... and as I've said in another thread I wouldn't be opposed to adding new/additional races and simply not adjust all the past gear but only do the current gear and maybe add a lot more race specific gear to make up for it and to make them somewhat special in that regard.

Call them Limited Races so to speak because of the gear issue. :P I would prefer limited races to no new races.

I plan to fantasia to a female character some time soon. Just to change things up a bit. So far I'm leaning toward an au ra but I'm going to wait until the viera arrive to make a final decision. But so far the viera look a little too Paris Hiltony for my taste. In fact, I had a picture of the viera on my screen and my 78 year old mother saw it and asked if it was a picture of Paris Hilton. I couldn't believe we both had the same thought.

Only way you'd get a smaller Veira clan was if they imported the Foel, but they were *eradicated* in their home game so eh.

I'm wondering how much polish they will be doing on the models up until the expansion is released, for Viera we will be interacting with Fran in time, it would be rather odd to see huge differences between ourselves and her, though I can't admittedly see that much now >.>;; I'm certain that knowing me my ocd would go ballistic if they were in the same scene and i started to do so..

Currently i notice similarities in the models to female highlander hyur, and elezen, though I they strike me as being more proportionate than elezen, they look good~ its a relief. I am guessing that one of the "special options" available will be the wild eyebrows miqo'te sunseekers have access to given their similarity to Fran

For hrothgar everything is much harder to guess, which admittedly makes the final reveal more interesting when people can finally dig in and see all the options, we should probably have official naming conventions by then too which will be nice

This is so annoying. Khloe minion, Fat Cat mount, some line differences. I can understand for Haurchefant because the type of character would just not translate to the west. However, these slight changes often alter the tone or intent to an unnecessary degree

As for the race information itself, I'm glad Hrothgar leaving and coming back was brought up. When we have the barrage of DNC and WAR, it'll seem charming at the idea that it's something their people wanted to do, but couldn't and finally got the chance to.

I forget which beast tribe in game, but there's one where females are super rare and when there is one, she's taken to be groomed as a future queen. Sahagin maybe? But I assume that's what the Hrothgar do.
