Female Hrothgar as a playable race. Show your support!

I don't have any and don't need any, because in this case, it only involves the groups complaining about/demanding races. So we can use the forums, which you all like to cite anyway.

And looking at the "likes" and various voting around, the number of people who wanted Viera in any form are MUCH larger than the people who wanted a Beast race. So, if Yoshida had only made male and female Hrothgar, they would have pissed off that GIGANTIC group of people.

Conversely, while the Viera group is larger than the Beast race group, it's still not a small group (several thousand vocalized at least). So if they had made male and female Viera, that group would have been pissed off.

So by making one of each, they satisfy both groups. Not fully, of course, but that would have been impossible anyway. Like I said, they did the best they could with a lose-lose situation.

I think, in case with one "full" race (doesn't matter which one) the reaction would be different actually. People then would simply continue to ask about other option in way "pleeeease?". It would be persistent, yes, but without outrage which we had right after Tokyo fanfest. Can't say for sure, though.

It appears the development team wanted to make Hrothgar. Sorry but a full Hrothgar race would have made a lot more people unhappy in my opinion. Viera was definitely something a lot of people wanted so they catered to that group. They've as much said this if I'm not mistaken so I'm not sure where the debate is.

They´ve as much as said they arent into male bunnies. Fair enough I say, and with the Hrothgar they got to make something a lot of other people as well as themselves wanted to make. There´s also the "bring in FFXI players" factor to consider. I never played it but everyone always says how Eureka was like a love letter to ffxi, not just in content but also in playstyle. Hrothgar is another step in appealing to them, on top of the existing desire for a more bestial race.

We have a lot of WOW players too. I'm not sure what they like for roles when it comes to a beast type race. I had no clue what races we were getting other than the leaks that predicted two races and one was clearly Viera. Had no idea if they would be both genders or not. I can't say I'm disappointed with their decision because i will be using both races the minute the benchmark hits and I can't wait.

I'm not personally opposed to their adding the remaining genders. I would have to reserve judgment as to whether or not I like them just like I could not be sure I would be happy with the female Viera or male Hrothgar until I saw the reveal trailers.
