    Are they still going to remove TP?

    I remember reading a couple of months ago that TP was being removed and the classes were going to go to all use MP. Any more info ever come to light in regards to that? It was mentioned in a dev letter about upcoming changes but after that I haven\\'t been able to find anything.

    As far as I'm aware, yes, they're still planning on removing TP.

    They haven't released much information about it yet. All I'm aware of was there was a comment about how insignificant TP cost skills are likely to become free instead of costing MP (For example, like the TP cost on RDM's melee skills)

    Outside of that, they're reluctant to release any information about it until May when they will be announcing the entirety of the new combat system changes (As they don't want to release partial pieces of information because without context of the entire system of changes, they can look "Strange")

    Ok good to hear it will be soon.

    Ironic you mention paladin cause I run a PLD who is in HW right now but once I heard about the changes...well I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous about how ones like PLD whose skills use both are going to be affected.

    Maybe they'll increase MP for the jobs that used both MP and TP, and make everything use MP and the ones that only ever used MP would likely stay the same!

    We need a setting to auto use Aetheryte Tickets ~ An amount set by the players like set to 500 Gil if a teleport cost over that amount it will auto-use a ticket!

    Technically speaking, beside when spamming Total Eclipse, TP are irrelevant for PLD.
    It's not a ressource that you have to manage during a boss fight. Only a very lengthy fight with no downtime would make PLD run into TP issue (and that's assuming no Tactician available)

    The only ressource you're ought to mange is MP.

    So don't worry, beside allowing to spam more Total Eclipse, the removal of TP will not affect you at all (unless they tie MP cost to basic skills, but I would be very surprised if they'd do so)

    I remember reading that Yoshida clarified in an interview that it was less that they were consolidating TP into MP and more that they were just removing TP entirely.
    This means that weaponskills will probably have no cost to use, outside of necessary resources like Kenki for Samurai actions and whatnot.

    Hmmm, i'm looking forward to seeing how it changes, because what I've been used to all these years doesn't exactly feel like it is in need of change or improvement resource-wise; --then again all i ever do is play Monk, Monk, monk, sometimes... er, Monk.

    For the jobs that used both MP and TP. I still only see the 1000 TP being added to the MP and the costs staying the same. They can't just remove the costs!
    And for the jobs that only ever used TP, I only see MP will probably be set to 1000 MP if not already that low I've never really paid attention to mp on most of the DPS.

    BRD with the self MP drain buff effects would or should probably stop when it hits 1000 MP or less!

    Said this a few times already - TP costs bar AOE skill costs are basically useless and in case of AOE just limiting for no reason given Caster AoEs are most of the time not only better but also dirt cheap or self-fueling (BLM). Single target skill TP cost are so small they could literally be 0 and it wouldnt change a thing except QoL for physical jobs in dungeons.

    Replacing TP costs with MP costs and adjusting MP values is literally just keeping costs for sake of keeping costs regardless of actual depth. In fact, if you were to neuter it down, we'd either be at square 1 HW times where certain jobs with MP regen tools aka phys ranged are gonna be the hottest thing since sliced bread again OR we spread out MP tools (mp goad, mp invigorate, Refresh) and we'd have the same situation as now in Stormblood where we have excessive resources.

    Weaponskills that currently cost TP will simply cost nothing, potencies possibly adjusted. Any other change just to keep costs defeats the purpose of TP getting removed in the first place.

    Foe Requiem costing MP while Refresh giving the BRD MP himself should be changed - Refresh should fulfill the same purpose for BRD as it does for MCH, not more.
