I do think it would have been awesome if the Fenrir motorcycle was a two-seater.

or at the very minimum, it having been at rank 2-3 mount speed in all zones that had such ranks. The 1-rank mount speed feels like such a scam on any character except for freshly made alts, if you've done all the main scenario quests in a region on your main
That mount doesn't have the same mount speed as other mounts?
I don't feel like the hoopty quite fits the feel of this game, but I'll take it! I'll happily use it when someone needs a ride somewhere. For just riding around by myself, I'll stick with my unicorn.
She's got a chicken to ri-ide, she's got a chicken to ri-i-ide...
She's got a chicken to ride, this game's from Square!

In the spirit of the original announcement of the motorcycle, in which they previously couldn't implement it due to its speed being fast enough to break the servers if more than one person is on it within a zone, they announced that they were releasing this mount as faster than other default mounts due to being a motorcycle. What they didn't advertise, however, is that it's at rank-1 mount speed, which you earn through completing MSQ within a zone by default. No seals or anything required, which makes this motorcycle the same mount speed as every other mount you have, if you actively play the game. The benefits are only ever seen when you're leveling new characters through the MSQ—but otherwise, 30 dollars for a "fast" mount that isn't a two seater is a bit... odd.

I also wonder how it will scale, I mean I imagine it would have a one size fits all like the 2-seater Chocobos, but would there be a massive difference of space in the car if you had 4 roes or 4 lalafells inside of it.

Short answer: the motorbike goes at the "unlocked speed boost" speed, before you unlock it via MSQ.
Normally you have three stages of mount speed:
1. Initial (painfully slow) speed
2. Unlocked speed boost from MSQ
3. Purchased riding map
The bike goes at speed 2 right from the beginning. You still need a riding map to unlock speed 3.
And yes, right now the biggest advantage is for alts (or new players) making their way through the MSQ, but everyone will be benefitting from that in Shadowbringers.
...oh no, all the new areas are going to be full of bikes with that horrible idling noise, aren't they? >_<
