Anything in the Mogshop is optional to begin with, you're not required to buy anything from there so any sales made is just pure profit. They loose nothing if people don't buy anything.

Yes everything on mog station is optional but it is not pure profit you don't start making a profit until you have earned enough back for the dev time and resources cost until then its a loss, so if no one buys anything then SE would be flushing money down the toilet.

Now this is what SE has lost money wise from me, at least 1 fantasia + CE Shadowbringers which is £18.75, a drop in the ocean but it is a net loss to the company because of their decision to gender lock and i'm sure i'm not the only one this has affected how much they are going to spend on ffxiv going forward.

It is down to SE to decide if this will be a temporary loss or a permanent one but also down to them to add up the potential revenue from adding the genders are worth the cost of time/resources.

You're operating under the assumtion that they're intending to NEVER release the other genders, just like everone else on here is. They haven't said one way or the other yet since the expansion hasn't even launched yet.

I don't support either side myself. If they decide to release them then great, if they don't, also great. But threads like this one are pointless. The devs haven't said anything about never releasing the other genders, just that they decided to release what they could with what time they had. Making a huge fuss over it like we're NEVER going to get them before we even get the first release is petty.

This thread is not pointless Yoshi P has stated they are looking for feedback and this thread is one way to give it. I very well believe if there wasn't as much blow back against the decision to gender lock they would've left Viera and Hrothgar as they are and just moved on but because there was a much an outcry as there was (Some was really overboard the people calling the devs sexist/homophobic as the worst offenders) that they are even considering male Viera and female Hrothgar.

So I got a theory on what could happen. They will do numbers and think that maybe male viera will earn them a tremendous amount of money, while fem hrotgar not so much (just guessing) so they might give male viera super early to get money (5.0-5.1) and then release fem hrotgar later

I thought about this too some time ago. It's possible, but maybe it's better to release them together later.

staggering them is fine since end result is the same (as long as they communicate and say yeah we are making both just give us time)
but they would probably want to release them at the same time and dont expect them between 5.0-5.4

Again you're assuming that they never had plans to release both genders from the start when all they really said was they released what they thought would please the most people with the short time and resources they had. If down the line they reveal that they weren't going to release them then sure you can be upset, but at this juncture outrage is unnecessary.

I've seen some people express their displeasure that male viera and female hrothgar are not currently being implemented, but I haven't seen any outrage in this thread these past few days. That's not to say they will or won't be added. Even so, it's still in the best interest of those who want male viera and female hrothgar to leave feedback on the forum. Preferably in already existing threads lol

Nobody is outraging though. The first posts you see on the first page happened because frustration, disappointment and angery.
People calmed down and many others actually take their time to create a forum account, and we all know its quite a hassle to do so. So far I've seen less hassle about people that call the dev team sexist or threaten to cancel their subs, on the other hand... people still show up trying to tell me male Viera is only good for ERP.
This thread and the female Hrothgar certainly shows great interest for those who would like to play one and players that support their friends/family.
