For those of you curious about what the french are saying, they find the NA forums to be ridiculous in regards to the accusations of sexism, homophobia, and other personal attacks against the devs. They are calling this a "rise to arms".

There are other french players who express they want to see male viera and female hrothgar.

Why though? We already have highlanders. There's literally no slender male options in the game. The other picture we added seemed like a good middle ground between what the most people wanted. If we're just going to add every variation that people ask for to the OP I'd rather just the official art be left up. If we make it look like we don't know what we want they can use that as an excuse to keep viera genderlocked.

I completely agree with you. I don't want to see another character with a wide torso, since we have highlander, au ra, roegadyn, and now hrothgar. Even midlander and miqo'te still have a somewhat wide torso. I also agree with your last point - SE may take this as we don't know what we want, and since they don't want any people being severely disappointed, they might not even bother with male viera. However, I think it's important to at least somewhat reflect what people want in the OP, so I was open to revising things.

Even those who want this would still agree that an omega m body type for male viera would be an ok compromise. So, I once again revised my first post to include the different types of viera, but made it a point to say that many of us would be ok with omega m body type as a compromise.

I will also mention that, on the japanese forums, some of them appear to like the omega m body type for male viera, too.

Is that picture what they are considering for the adult bods? (Seems unlikely due to ear size, but art styles can be subjective...)

Well if they are going for dimorphism that would certainly fit >.>, though i think that fits more for an npc, and if its for a player character it should look like, as old as Vaan in game.
