In the far flung future when we return to The Source and either wreck the Empire or help/rebuild places they've destroyed...
Dalmasca!
Ishgard is 100% my second and far more likely pick though. <3
I'd say either airship housing or underground housing.

Those would work great as instanced "houses" that aren't subject to demolition. There could still be underground and sky neighborhoods, for those that like that, but those both just scream isolation and privacy to me.

Dun Scathe... or some other as of yet to be released gothic place. Ishgard isn't gothic enough for me to want to live there... maybe since we are getting to go to the 1st shard we could get housing on the 13th shard?

Housing in the new areas would be so pretty!! Ishgard is meh for me....

I've wanted Idyllshire to have a housing district that is similar in style to the Dravanian Hinterlands. It will probably never happen, which is a shame because it used to be a City State in Eorzea and has a lot of room for more map space.

Bit of a tangent but I've always wondered about cliff side housing district, one that hangs off the edge looking out at the great expanse view - and figured you might be able to apply that to the one Idyllshire has/is. With some internally decorated hub within the rock structure and perhaps some internal cavern houses as well with finally an exit straight into Idyllshire.
You get both caves and pretty dang high off the ground views at one time lol.

Ishgard. It would be dumb to live on first world. It just doesnt fit right
