Doesn't sound like it'll take long. :P
Let's be real, there's too many healers out there for this to happen.
The best thing we can do is to rightly criticise Yoshida's current handling of the situation, but in a manner that's productive and useful.
They might not be in a hurry to come here and respond to us. But it's an undeniable fact that they do read it in some manner, even if it's just trends being passed on from the NA/EU forum team.

Thin Air is going to be a role skill. Calling it now. Cause every time y'all get something neat, that's where it goes.
I do realize that whm has gotten the shaft for the past two expansions and I am also salty over recent decisions on not giving us a fourth healer, but we really don't know what he means by making whm easier. We all know, and I'm sure he knows, that whm is the easiest to play. It could mean anything. It could mean he fixes your clipping, maybe you will get a spell that makes you reapply regens similar to how bard reapplies dots with ironjaws. The point is, you do not know. I've read the interview many times now and it seems that he wants to focus on us and make us have a sense of identity. What that means is anyones guess.
Like honestly, save the salt for May when we get an idea what he is doing with healers. That's when we will need it. Now its just assumption based on nothing but fear. Fear mongering isn't going to do anything other than cause forum fatigue out of everyone who cares about healers or who would be willing to listen.
Also the forums is only a small percentage of people who play the game. Earlier I had quicker ques into the new trial on my melee classes than I did healers. So right now, there are plenty of healers and won't change unless the devs really screw the pooch.
For me, it means necessarily this:
Yes, we don't know. But, judging by the prevoius updates, none of those will be made. Maybe he'll take off us Aero 2/3, give Thin Air to other healers, delete Assize and let us DPS with only stones and heal only with GCDs. Yoshi-P can't make WHM easier than that. Clipping fix? Those neat fixes is for astra, not for WHM.We all know, and I'm sure he knows, that whm is the easiest to play. It could mean anything. It could mean he fixes your clipping, maybe you will get a spell that makes you reapply regens similar to how bard reapplies dots with ironjaws. The point is, you do not know. We didn't get a 4th tank in Stormblood due to their "rebalancing" of the existing tank jobs. Did that actually happen? Sort of, DRK and PLD swapped spots, but WAR still ended on top. Here it is again with healers, no new healer so they can rebalance the existing ones. It's up to you whether you believe their word, but their track record would suggest against that, hence the skepticism.
Perhaps you are going to stop playing healers... but unless they absolutely destroy them and/or take away my ability to heal AND effectively DPS, I don't foresee myself not playing healers. As it is, I play them more than I play the job I cleared Savage and Ultimate on. Considering we have no way of knowing what they're doing to the healer role until the actually announce the changes, there's no need to be all doom and gloom.Yah... I just can't wait. hope you like 6-8 hour que times for dungeons. cause people just gonna stop playing heres.. all veteran healers stop playing and you be suck teaching noob healers how to savage
while cue times become up 6-8 hours long for simplest of dungeons. trying hold my tongue cause i want don't want to be removed from these forums. screaming out load what I truly want to say about the state of healing atm
give you hint . starts would F and ends with u. for those share in my frustration. my rage. heart goes out.
I love final fantasy 14. this right here is garbage. problem with healers isn't "WE NEED NEW HEALS"
problem is are dps rolation. competitive. retarded down right boring.
Stone. stone stone stone stone "Head smashes the keyboard" stone!!.. wait aero... stone stone
woah guys this whm rotation is really "HARD" i mean come on

But what about MCH? I'm actually legitimately curious with that one, I've heard different things, and I've leveled mine but only really in HoH.They also had a horrible track record with regards to BRD, but Stormblood BRD turned out fine. More than fine, actually. I don’t see the need to worry until the changes are actually announced and I can see for myself how it may impact the jobs.
Ah, but I forget. That sort of practice isn’t allowed here!

"Then what is magic for?" Prince Lir demanded wildly. "What use is wizardry if it cannot save a unicorn?"
Schmendrick did not turn his head. With a touch of sad mockery in his voice, he said, "That's what heroes are for."
