But as someone who isn't "catered to" constantly like people who enjoy symetrical female classes with beautiful faces, I'm really upset that yet again, they're catered to, and we end up with basically nothing.

When the Au Ra came out, they had the women with these beautiful doll-like faces, doe-eyes, basically someone's dream girl I'm sure. The men? For some reason, they look like angry aliens. I mean that as in, aside from the handful of people who will say "Well *I* like them", generally they weren't very attractive to us. Aesthetically it's just not fair. They were literally covered in scales while the females were minimal as to not cover up the pretty features.

So yet again, we get the shaft. A beautiful girl race for anyone who's attracted to females, and a literal anthropomorphic cat as "a response to the female-only Viera". No, that's not a response, that's a consolation prize. That's a thoughtless one at that. You gave us an ugly man, *again*.

This makes me feel like, personally, only straight men matter. I understand more than just those people like women, but generally speaking, that's what they're selling to. And me? I don't matter. Us? We don't matter. Every race. Every single race, there's a gross imbalance aside the Mi'quote and the Midlanders. The Elezen look like Cher with no face that comes close to Aymerics, the Lalafels are.. not really there to be attractive, and the Roe's and Highlanders are buff awesome people. Two. We get *two* races, while they get every female in the book.

This is how I feel. I would appreciate not being told off or devalued for having emotions. This is upsetting because this game means a lot to me, and I'm getting to the point where I feel like I seriously don't matter. I know male Viera are buff too, but that's exactly my point. I'm not looking for pretty boys, I'm looking to get what the other side is getting. I want to see every class in balance, not "Let's give them hot girls and make creative ranged choices with the men".
I think women should have a range of those same creative choices as well. They *all* have doll faces, even the burly Highlanders. They're just angrier.

With all due respect, this is written in hopes somebody will read it in earnest. Have a good day. I've rightly exposed myself, and now I expect a lot of ridicule for it. But it's something I wholly believe in, and so I'm putting myself out here regardless.

Males could definitely use some doll faces. Sadly there will never be a face for Elezen that can even come close to a Aymeric.

Honestly, I can understand and do feel that frustration. I'm very, very much hoping for female hrothgar with feline/lupine/whatever faces to break up the monotony. I know they would still find ways to make them "pretty" and bestial but here's to hoping they'd at least feel different enough if added.

Yeah, I never meant a literal copy of Alphinaud's body. I've been emphasizing that I want them slim and a little shorter than the females however. It's just an assumption, but I think most people would be happy with Omega M's body type for male viera.

You should probably update the first post to remove the comment about alphy and update it with 'Omega M' - Omega M is a lot more reasonable.

Edit. And remove the image where the child/feol viera is paired with the adult/full viera - in all honesty.

And this is why we don't have male viera. Because that isn't Yoshi Ps vision for Viera and half the people who want Male Viera will still complain. He said that himself.

Did he care this much before releasing Au Ra? Before releasing any of the other races that were based on past races before? Did he care about how people will take to his renditions of male Hrothgar and female Viera?
They released previously established races. They released newly created races. Suddenly he has cold feet with male Viera?

In the future, after genderlock lift :P, if they do not want to add more races it seems an easy idea that they could be adding more options for the present races.

I also feel like genderlocking is a thing of the past. Outside of lore and possibly resources, I see no reason why it's still a thing. And wasn't there something about male miqo'te being rare themselves? Unfortunately, I'm not very familiar with the lore of the game so I am not certain.

There's a feeling I have that I think we'll be listened to though. So far from what I've seeing, English-speaking users have been decent about asking for it, save for some. Let's keep it going that way :>

In general, 90% of this thread is constructive and positive which is very good, I hope Yoshi will consider introducing the lacking sexes in 6.0

While I understand their frustrations, because believe me...genderlocking is ridiculous in this day and age-- I think unsubbing is a bit much. It kind of sounds like they wanted a reason to unsub. Any reason, really and I guess this was it. I probably don't have a lot of context because I'm not the most frequent player around (I stopped playing for several months last year and originally began my journey in Nov. '17), so there could be a multitude of reasons why folks are especially upset. But yeah, this is a lot.
