I don't see this info getting a lot of traction, so I thought I'd share some quotes in this thread, the biggest one about the genderlocks.

In this thread, there's a link to an interview with Yoshi-P, with a quoted question about the genderlocked races. It also contains this clarification:

This makes me think they're open to adding the missing genders in the future (next expansion, maybe). I'd say, keep (politely) voicing your feedback, and we'll see what happens.
