Turns out I was wrong. I don't know what's up with that first aetheryte, maybe it's a broken one?
But this new shot of Ahm Araeng has the sdame aetheryte as the rest of the First Shard.

It’s all still in development, so most likely got redesigned between those two screenshots.

The first aetheryte we saw was probably a placeholder, or something put there as a red herring.

I'm wondering also if some of the zones may be on the Source, especially with the question of "what is Garlemand doing while we are away" being teased. The Ahm Araeng sky for example looks like a typical blue sky during the day, not the light soaked sky in Lake Land and Il Mheg. I also rewatched part of the Las Vegas Fanfest to see they said it was "Time to take on the Garlean Empire". If this was more for 4.5 alone is the question. They also said Solus will play an important part in the story, although as an Ascian he could go to the First too.

Well Solus IS in the keyart for Shadowbringers, which usually denotes he will play some sort of major role.

I was going to say he would most likely be our main antagonist/final boss since having such a being on the key art was a recurring thing, but then i realised that the ARR keyart doesn't have Gaius OR Lahabrea in some form (unless you say Thancred), so that's no evidence.

Yoshi confirmed in an interview that Ahm Araeng is on the First.

That looks quite similar to Ahm Araeng, maybe it's a town in that region?

Yeah that's what I thought in terms of colour palette. Although the architecture of those buildings is really different from the other screenshots we have of Ahm Araeng.
It was however "leaked" by Steam when they wrote somethign like "Explore new Areas like Il Mheg, Rak'tika Greatwood and Kholusia"
