So did the game die again after the last fanfest? :^)

Pretty much. The official forum has been rife with "FFXIV is dead" threads since before 2.0 launched, which evolved to "FFXIV is dead" and "I'm Unsubbing" threads post-launch. What's one more "death" at this point, lol.
I was actually making a comment to a post on Facebook stating that I should resurrect this post. Seems some people already did.
I’m get back to work on it soon.Too late for me to do the massive updates it needs right now.
Yay, this thread is back, I was thinking about it after the fallout of fan fest.
I have to confess, I didn't read you're whole wal of text.
Anyhow how did any of these things killed FF XIV? They are still creating expansion and there's still players around so it's hardly dead?.
WoW is not dead either, still players around and content is still being released.
Guild Wars 1 is not dead either, there's no content being made for it but there's still players running around and the servers are still running, a couple (2) of the guild wars 2 devs even created a grapical update for Guild Wars 1 in their spare time because there's still people playing GW1 and we would have loved it.
Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
Man I remember this thread. It's one of my favorites, I bring it up all the time when people complain about silly little things and say the game is dying.
Glad to see you are still around Violyre!
