Fine then, imagine a room full of employees all getting bonus checks, except the one guy that is the backbone of the who team. He asks why he doesn't get one and is told he is paid enough (when he gets paid the same as everyone else).

Last I recall, everybody is getting new jobs in incoming expansion - at least I didn't have question at char creation when I started playing that which role I'd like to lock myself into.

Different employees would react differently to their bonus, just like players are reacting differently to new jobs.

Quite frankly, SE owes healers an explanation.

We deserve to know WHY after 4 years, they haven't been able to fix the underlying issues in our role that have led to this point.

We should get a clear roadmap of HOW they're planning to proceed going forward in regards to the healing role so that we can have constructive conversations and hold them accountable, because honestly going 6 years without a new healer (no guarantees it will even happen then) citing "we need more time to balance" is unacceptable.

They don’t owe you anything and in matter of fact they are being honest that they can’t balance new healing style in a 8 men raid formation. It is much better than WoW devs lie to you that everything is balanced and it never did

They don't owe you yet another toy to play with yet you got one anyway.

Image being a healer that has an absolutely useless mechanic attatched to them and don't even need to use the 2 skills used for said mechanic at all usually.

Imagine being a healer in a raid that can't use their mechanic at all since their Tank isn't maintanking.

Imagine being a healer that has a completely useless companion.

Imagine being a tank that HAS to spam one button for pretty much every skill they have and yet can't beat the other 2.

Also the last tank was drk and it got added with ast, so it's the same.
But while all healer can heal every content, i think they have bigger overall issues in some regions.

i would have murdererd friends over the privilege of having dnc as a healer since i love chakrams.
But i'm glad i don't have to kill them since now we can go into dps hell together.

While i would welcome a new healer, i also would welcome some things from the other healers to get adjusted.

You made a healer class at the start, locked yourself into such a role, and have less options than the rest of the playerbase?

The problem is on Square Enix seemingly caring next to nothing about healers to the point we barely got any recognition out of the last fanfest. After so many years healers are continuing to have glaring problems like shields, AST sects, dps more than healing, GCD healing being considered "bad", fight design being extremely bursty meaning every healer has to have some instant massive heal restricting fight designs further, the list goes on.

We shouldn't be punished for Square's mistakes. Yes we could simply continue healing, yes we could simply swap to tank or dps. Why does it have to be healers that get the short end of the stick? I never had this healing debacle in any other MMO I've healed in.

No, but to claim you're not getting anything at all is a false equivalency.
We're all getting the same stuff, it's just not what everyone wanted.
And while there is a valid argument for 'balance', you also have to consider that ranged dps are in the same boat.

It's alright to be disappointed, and criticise even, but it's a bit of an overreaction to claim you haven't got anything, if it's your choice to only play healer.

We haven't had any new DoL/DoH for a long time either...
