Also, I play whatever strikes my fancy at the time I have everything to 70, mostly geared. I was pld for 4 years. I've played healers in 24 man's and coil. And by your logic, there are only 2 viable tanks, and during 3.x there were only 2 viable tanks.

I don't think the devs are so out of touch that they think having no new healers is OK. They just don't know what to do. I'm not sure what players can do other than express disappointment, and expect much more from the existing healers. I think they know our frustrations, but they're just don't know what to do for whatever reason.

First of all, I have to contain myself so mothafriggin hard. I have no words for such stupidity. You are filled so much with rage and hate over a stupid class in a MMO, that you really wish to hurt a company? xD
Look, hands down. We have only 2 physical range DPS, and they both play similar and are proc reliant. Was it about time to get a 3rd physical range? Most definitely. Every other kind of Class has at least 3 Jobs. There are currently 3 tanks, 3 healers, 3 mages (bluemage isnt for endgame) and 4 melees but only 2 physical range. So yeah, for the sake of fairness, we are allowed to have one more.

2nd) Please explain me, how a new healer should work and how its supposed to be unique. We have a proactive healer (whm), a shielder (sch) and an utility healer with buffs, that can be both. How the fuck do you wanna fit a 4th healer inbetween there? Sorry to bring it down to you, but right now, healer spots are well used and I dont see a point adding a 4th healer, that basically is just a copypasta. Did you even seriously thought about the bs u'r writing and how a new healer would work out?

1st ive hurt ppl and companys for much less if they deserve 2 be hurt then hurt them period. and the company and devs desever to be hurt and yoshi should be fired...

next a 4th healer could be a buffer /healer aka faith,bravery, oil debuff, haste, dispell etc a gealer buffer/debuffer NOT DOT HEALER.... you can create millions of differnt types

there is also absorb type healing or a healer that hits the tam members 2 heal


just like when i was in 8th grade and rippie my sister stuff all up for touching my plushy shadow my wrath only effects the guilty

even if i wanted 2 calm down i cant when set off ... also another dps after stormblood is a personal attack on all healer mains that and the trust system combined he obviously hates ppl maining as a healer

Good thing we have the Trust system coming. Probably be your best bet to get a decent healer in the duty finder anyway.

Sad reality of things when NPC healers are better healers than player healers in certain times.

NPC healers always do damage and healing but certain player healers rather stand around only using 2 to 3 healing skills and wait for the rest of the team to kill off the mobs when we are not even pulling a large amount of mobs so their MP is always above 80% for the entire encounter.

On topic:

I don't really know what they can do with a new Healer anyways because they covered all basic standards for healing being the raw healing from WHM and AST with Shield Healing from AST and Scholar.

Only type of healing left that may be creative would be Damage Healing where the amount of heals provided is based on the damage done to their enemies or that everytime the Healer heals a target they also damage enemies near the healed target which would be a great theme for Chemist Healer Job.

Another is Healing Buffing which is Healing with the addition of Damage and/or Defense buffs to the healed target that is constantly applied everytime the target is healed which results in a Healer Job that must constantly focus on healing to maintain their attack and/or defense buffs but that would just be a more OP version of Raw Healing which would murder white mage populations. Though I was expect Dancer to play like this if it was a Healer.
