I don't see how playable Dwarves would make sense given the story of the game.

If Dwarves start at level 1 and have to play through the story from 2.0 through 4.5, then it'd be strange for the world and the characters not to acknowledge the fact that the player seems to be different. Eorzeans at least might have heard about Au Ra before, but Dwarves are non-existent on the Source. Then again, if Dwarves are literally just Lalafells hiding behind helmets and not actually a different race, then perhaps there would be no need to treat them differently. As far as the story is concerned: how would Dwarves have even been able to make it to the Source before 5.0 anyway? Why wouldn't a Dwarf WoL warn the Scions about what happened on their world? I suppose a memory wipe could work...

If Dwarves just use Lalafell animations, then perhaps they could be added as a third clan. Hoping that I can obtain their armor at the very least.

So Lala's are a beast tribe on the First and are treated as such. We all know how beast tribes are treated at the Source. Sooo....how are the playable Lala's going to be treated by residents of the First since they'd have a beast race running through their city now?

No cape announcement and the biggest fan requested race since 1.x, the almighty dwarven race, isn't playable. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. I'm tired of this game not giving me whatever I want whenever I want so I'm unsubbing and never coming back until launch. Also let me just say how deeply offended I am that only lalafels are allowed in dwarven homes. I thought we were progressing as a society but I guess I was wrong.

Usually there's beast tribe gear available. If dwarves are lalafells, you could probably put a lala in it and technically be a dwarf. Beard and all.
