And also, I'm pretty sure some of the people who unsub already bought the expansion ahead of time.. So knowing that SE already has your money, the very least you can do is sub to the game for 1 month to get your money's worth from the initial MSQ etc - to where 3.1 is going to begin and then disappear to 6.0 if you want

Nice post, OP. However, I'm pretty confident that the majority of the "female-only Viera = unsbub" people aren't actually going to unsub, and are simply threatening to do so as a tactic to convince SE to change their minds. Also, why aren't there similar levels of outrage manifest on the part of those of us who prefer to/only play as female characters that we are locked out of the Hrothgar? Ultimately, it's not a very important question, but I do find it somewhat interesting.

I doubt anyone is really unsubbing. It's a (fake outrage) harassment campaign being run by a certain external forum in hopes of controlling square enix.

I've played WoW so i've seen people threatening to unsub for less. kinda not new to witness for me. They won't be gone long either.

In most cases, even if they are unsubbing now, they will come back for the expansion. And the few that don't won't be enough to significantly affect SE or the population.

Plus, we really don't need players that are so fickle that a cosmetic option not being available makes them rage quit.

More like a white knight circle jerk. That apparently know what everyone that pays their sub with their OWN money is going to do. And say people that are unsubbing are somehow threatening and black mailing the devs. And try to dismiss any criticism of the precious game as trolling and flaming.

But for me, I think talking about male viera, making threads and posts, fanart, and etc... is also effective.
Requesting male viera in fanfests and in q&a's might make SE reconsider the genderlock

There's a lot you can do aside from unsubbing to let SE know you want to unlock the genders.

I may not like the decisions that have been made, but I like this game and don't want to unsub. Getting people to rally for a cause is harder than unsubbing. Convincing people who aren't registered to the official forums to get on for once and "like" the support thread post isn't easy. Unsubbing would be a lot easier, but I wonder if that's really the only way for us to get the changes we want to see? I don't think so.

So for anyone who wants to see male viera, please do your part. Share the post, and get players who don't visit the forums often to register and like.
