Long time content

People may bitch about things like dynamis, but it was something you could do twice a week, every week, collect currency, and work towards gear. And you had to keep doing it, with chances of ultra gear dropping. It was something to keep you going. Notice how xiv doesn't have that? Beat ifrit, meh, it's just a fight. dynamis was a journey. And I miss that journey...

While I understand where you are coming from, I don't believe Ifrit is supposed to be anything like Dynamius. It's only a level 50 fight, and I don't think we will see something like that for some time to come.

I agree that more content is always a good thing, and I hope that with the new systems being introduced we will see lots of fun content both short and enjoyable and long/fun journey being introduced. Sadly it's just going to take time, and I'd rather then focus on this type of content for 2.0 as that is where this game is going. IMO.

I'm not comparing ifrit to dynamis in any extent other than it's the only "questy" type thing to get high end gear for high level players with not much else to do. What else am I supposed to do with my 50's other than hunt HNM's?

I would enjoy something I can do two times a week for a total of 3-4 hours at a time or a year. But the rewards need to be epic.

And I agree, hopefully we will get some things that do take a time commitment. My hope for the dungeons is that they will introduce different levels and add more bosses. Here is the breakdown:

1. I think there should be timed dungeons, it's good, people know how much time they are going to take.
2. I think there should be short dungeons open dungeons with different bosses
3. I think there should be epic dungeons that have lots of content, different paths, multiple bosses, etc.

I think really we need all kinds of content for all kinds of players, ranging from Epic and long, to short and sweet.

As for what you do now, NMs, quests, grind seals, level other classes, socialize.

The crystal tower thing they have been talking about has some potential to fit the "Long term" qualifiers.

But i will Defiantly agree this game needs something akin to xi's Sky badly.

i know, but that's a whole YEAR away! I don't care if it's repeative, just give me something to do! I'm not ready to sit down and level another job yet. The game feels very fast paced, which I don't love. I hope unlockable jobs come asap as well. Surprise me yoshi!
