I really can't wait to go explore The First shard, I've been wanting to go to one of the other shards ever since 3.4 and I'm glad we're going to one at last! I also think there's a lot of areas we haven't seen since Yoshi P said we're taking the fight to the empire I have a feeling half the expansion will be on the first shard and the other half going to the empire like how Stormblood was split between Ala Mhigo and the Far East, I have a feeling there's a lot we haven't seen yet. I was also really impressed with a lot of the music I heard, Soken has come up with some great new tracks once again!

Same, the raids especially. It seemed like Eden might be tied to some sort of world-building with what they mentioned about there being no darkness or seasons in the First. The worlds look beautiful.

I'm excited about the raids too, I love Tetsuya Nomura and I can't wait to see more from this raid series!

And yeah an overhaul would be nice, I think they are going to start by adding more plates.

Yeah! I kinda wonder, maybe are we still the Warrior of Light to the Source Shard but the Warrior of Darkness to the First? I'm very interested in seeing how this plays out.

To be honest, going to the First Shard is probably the aspect of the expansion that I'm least excited for. It feels like filler to me when there are so many places that we could have gone to that we already have some familiarity with and have been relevant to us in the past. I looked forward to seeing more of the cloud cover get pulled away on the world map, and beyond what they've shown us in previews so far, I really don't care about any of these locations or their inhabitants at all.

But I'll admit I'm biased in that this all reminds me of an isekai anime, and there's nothing I hate in anime more than isekai.

I agree and I'm still excited for ShB. I have feeling the story will be interesting and expand the cosmology/multi-verse which can open the door to very interesting disparities and give us something new and different to look at.

As for Dancer, a new Physical Ranged DPS is welcome and a great addition and the two new races are also welcome as a vehicle for diversification of the races.

Good job Yoshi-P and I have no doubt ShB will be a smashing success.

Me too, all the salt comes across as entitled to me, so many people got something they wanted (except healer mains, sorry :/), but people are upset and "unsubbing" because they didn't get everything they wanted.

To Recap:
- People who wanted viera got that
- People who didn't want viera and wanted something more beast-like and interesting (like lupin) got that
- People who wanted dancer got that
- The lowest represented "role" (physical ranged) got a new job
- Tanks got a new job

and so on.

I think that we can safely predict that next expansion will give us a healer and caster, which will bring us to 4 tanks/4 healers/4 melee/4 physical ranged/4 magic ranged. Please look forward to it
