Yoshi-P specifically said in a recent interview that there wouldn't be anything like the Proto Ultima quest as that was a one-time only thing, so don't count on it.


"Not this time. The reason why we added those accessories back in 3.55a was for players to get their gear ready for the expansion, but that whole process is unnecessary this time. If we added a proto ultima type of element, players will feel the need and be forced to do it, so i told them they don't have to add it."

With this being the conclusion of the 4.X story the MSQ is definitely the most exciting part. I'll be looking forward to the beast tribe quests and Hildibrand too for sure, but that's more like the icing rather than the cake.

I also think the tome cap will be raised to 900, which will help be gear all my jobs for the expansion finally.

Highly doubt there will be accessories for Yojimbo this time. We prolly might get some kind of glamour, minion, or both, as rewards though.

I'm still holding out hope that SOMETHING in Stormblood has to reward the Kugane townie kimono. It has models for all existing races and genders, even Hildy wears it at one point... the only thing missing is it being a playable item ._.

If we don't get it from either allied beast tribes or Hildibrand, I'll cry.

for reference the one at end of each part on 'stage' and the one where hildy is in a kimono are the dances i want also was surprised valitones day event didn't give the make a heart with your hands style emote but hey ho more unique animations for hildy i guess :P

Elezenos is at Ghimlyt, so that's almost certainly going to come to a head. Hopefully the duel, regardless of who it's with, is a solo instance. Closing out StB by finally having a one-on-one fight with Zenos and/or Elidibus feels appropriate.
