    I don't like OP idea.
    I am a gentle person, and just because I'm in battle healing my friends does not mean I have to or want to wave my arms around as if they were part of a windmill.
    The current animation is very fitting, it looks as if I'm concentrating, which is the whole concept behind magic.

    I don't care about stupid THM though, make him look as epic as people want it to be, I'm not going to play that class anyways.

    For the "regain MP while having your weapon out" part I agree though.

    I'm going to use ffxi as an example. Rest assured I'm not suggesting a ffxi-2 here, I'm just providing examples so maybe the devs and players can get a better idea of different magic casting stances.


    Black Magic



    White Magic.


    Blue Magic.


    Scholar.



    you probably get the idea now, they each have their own stance and unique animation to follow suit.

    The reason I want this is because I think its silly we keep putting our weapons away, and taking them out. We are in a battlefield and our weapons should be in our hands at all times.

    The other reason is mages never get to have their weapon out , and I dislike that. Mages keep their weapon away to recover MP.

    What would fix these issues is if we still regain HP and MP with our weapons out. HP and MP should not regain while attacking or auto attacking, and only should regain inbetween casts, arrow attacks, and such. Regaining when your not performing any actions basically.

    Yes please, let us have variety in our casting. Each class should have unique casting animation and I also think that different animations based on spell type would be cool. Buff, cure, nuke could all have their own.

    +1 to DoW having less refined casting animations too

    Of course the animation should match the style of magic, so castic conjury wont be so angry looking lol.

    ya i would love to regain mp with my weapon out, it seems as tho we buy staves just to look good on our back lol.
