No. No one touches the portals because there's never enough interest in the content in instances that don't have premades in there. People are too focused on the NMs for weapons/gear, waiting for the Bunny FATE, too scared of deleveling within the content, or just not interested in BA period.

At most, on Aether you will get a dozen or so players to go in when there isn't a premade around. This was the case even when BA was new, before the NA Discord was well established (I joined a few of them before I joined the discord - we never got past Art/Owain).

Most of the time, you don't even see people shouting to do it. The instance comes alive when premades are around though, because there are players out there who see it as an opportunity to get carried to victory. And they know exactly what they're doing, as they will pop Platebearer and rarely interact with the bosses outside of a few attacks to get credit for the kill, and then spend the rest of the time healing themselves from the AOE damage they take. These do not make up ALL portal snipers, but it does make up the most notorious ones (at least on Aether).

Meanwhile, if these players had been willing to cooperate, joined the Discord when asked (most do not), and acted respectfully from the start, there would be no need to be wary of them when they're in an instance. I've been in prog groups for Ozma that have actually left instances when they see people in there who have been known to cause a fuss over the portals; simply because they don't want to deal with them sniping one and costing us a run. I've had a friend get sniped twice by one when they were just trying to help out with Ozma prog (they've already cleared; they just enjoy the content and lead groups sometimes).


No one owns the portals. But when a premade has spent hours gathering people for a run and trying to get into the same instance as the rest of their group, I find it disrespectful that other people suddenly become interested in this content and want to act like they own the portals, berating and belittling people in th discord as "elitists" for just attempting the content in an organized fashion. Yes, there are some in the Discord who argue right back with them, and there have been instances where it's gotten out of hand, but the Discord advocates for them not to. It's hard to stay silent though when you get people insulting you, though.

It boggles my mind how unwilling some are to just cooperate. No, Discord is not the "way the developers intended", but it is a system NA/EU have chosen, and it works - far better than random pugging with no Discord does on these data centers, anyways. It at least provides more than adequate means of communication and coordination, which is more than I can say from those in the instances that love to hate on it so much.

wrong, it would have been the same type of people who organizediscord doing it in actual instances, with text macros. I have played guild wars 2. group content happens, it only takes 1-3 people to make it happen

These people chose Discord. It's far more practical, in my opinion.

Then you had someone a few moments later try to MPK me with stack markers even though I was low hp from the meteors. The video then had someone admitting how they tried to intentionally MPK me with stack markers. I don't expect you to take any action on that since it's not possible for you to find out who was saying that.

Ok, you were at 20%, solo, but did you HAVE a stack marker? If so, they chased you down in an attempt to do mechanics for their own sake, not to kill you.

The Stack Mechanic Generally comes at the same time as an Ozmashade Mechanic that involves running away from it or getting heavily damaged and a stack of Mortality. Accelaration Bomb is on your status bar next to your buffs. There is no 'not seeing it through the chaos'. You were not watching your Debuff bar when the mechanic went out on the Tetraform. There That you chose to enter alone, knowing that a group was in there was your own decision. AOE heals don't work outside of group and depending on what platform you're on you're in the middle of a moshpit of 15-23 other players. Healing I don't worry about any group but mine because its near impossible to target players outside of your group, and that is even being on PC. You have done this for weeks so I am sure you have a grasp on that very basic concept as well as the Mechanics Ozma uses. If you keep jumping at ghosts like you are, you are distracting yourself from the mechanics that are happening around you and wiping yourself in the process.

Today you entered a fragment run that wanted to give AV a go, Honestly I went in to that instance to spawn Providence watcher because I still need Scales for another relic. I went into BA because I wanted to help them knowing well that I would probably de-level which I did because AV enraged. That was my choice. You went in, Likely, because there were a handful of names that you recognized in Hydatos at the time. The wipe was a 1% wipe, rather than perform the mechanics and participate, you elected to use Cure II, Platebearer, and keep yourself in defensive Magicite. This is your choice, however, we wiped due to inexperienced players that wanted to try Absolute Virtue, and Enraged. Had you used Offensive Magicite, as you were already using Platebearer, that was the difference between Clearing AV and the Enrage that we all experienced and de-leveled from.

You need to take a deep breath and calm down. Let yourself realize the mistakes you are making and learn from them instead of blaming everyone around you instead of yourself.

I've been in several BA where you were also in. From what I can tell from observing you, you do not know mechanics. And from the number of BA's you've been in, I'm surprised and concerned how you have not learned the mechanics. Worst on Ozma itself, it seems like whenever you got meteor or acceleration bomb, it would end up blowing up on the party.

And we were also in a failed AV fight together about 30 mins to an hour ago. I've taken note of you in game. You barely touched the boss, doing bare minimum to get credit then you just sit and cast cure on yourself in platebearer. It seems to be what you mostly do on any fight I see you in BA. You leech off everyone else inside BA. You have no right to complain when BA doesn't get cleared considering how little you help you, taking up a spot over someone who would actually do something.

Hey man I only choose logos actions that I am comfortable using and those are the ones that gives me maximum survivability as a solo player. I somehow managed to get agro at the start and got hit by an auto attack from AV. If i didn't have platebearer with 5 on defense I don't think I would've survived that. My logo action choices are non of your business. You're free to criticize as you like, but I do not intend to go in with anything else in future runs.

I don't claim to be a good player and yes I do make plenty of mistakes but the worst part about it is that you guys falsely report me saying that I intentionally fail mechanics. I've probably been reported over 100 time thanks to you guys.

Again, that's false information. I've done mechanics before in Ozma othewise I wouldn't have gotten clears before. At times I even point that out in /y chat just so you don't say "Oh Mirabelle screwed us again".

It appears that you claim that I don't do anything cept poke any heal but I can assure you that's wrong otherwise I'm sure a GM wouldve banned me for leeching like that. In fights like av/ozma I am always casting and I assure you those are not just Cure Ls.

I know for a fact you've been offered a party spots in BA considering I've offered twice to invite you personally and also heard and seen others off you the same. You refuse to join parties and working with other people inside and seen in public chat people offering you a party spot. I think by now most regular runners have just given up on offering you invites since you never accept and end up hurting the others in BA by not know mechanics.
