I just tried the first one recently. You set a rotary elemental thing that you need an external site to decipher try to kill level 1 mobs that take all you have to just barely kill one at a time, and cryptic chat from players about chains and stuff. I assume you go there, kill stuff somehow, and get something for your effort, but that's all I've been able to figure out so far.
I'd rather grind dungeons.
I've just reached 70, still have a bit of MSQ to complete if I can get my item level above 300, but I'm losing interest already.

go there, do fates and team up with other newbs. In the bery beginning your challenge log is a good start.
