A bit harsh to say as some really had bad experiences.

What about the experience of the guys who were sheduled in the BA run, waited up to one hour to get in the right instance, then specifically waited for the ovni fate to spawn, and maybe waited for the group to spawn the support fate but couldn't get in because Timmy who was in the instance to kill Providence Watcher decided he was too cool to ask to take part in a scheduled run and was entitled to get the mount without having any clue about the content ?

It has nothing to do with being toxic but with taking responsibility for your actions : If you take a portal when a scheduled BA run is underway on Chaos, fair enough, but don't ask for help. BA can only work if people are social. If you're unable to be social, don't expect us to be.

Also, if you believe that you only have to be in a premade to get easy access to BA you're wrong. As there are several discords and other premades that aren't on any discord, it is very common that groups actually have to let other premades enter the portals of a specific instance. So not only individual players are expected to make some efforts mitigating the terrible design that is the BA entry system.

I don't think AnnaMolly is saying that bad incidents don't happen, nor do I think they don't sympathize with those who truly have bad experiences. I think they're merely saying that, regardless, there will always be those who like to exaggerate and blow things out of proportion. Especially on these forums. It happens a lot around here.

Pretty much. I've seen a few who are perfectly capable of using discord who just complain about it and say they are blocked from BA. In the end, they are the ones choosing not to use the easiest way to get into BA, no one is excluding them. I've also seen people complain on here and join the discord and actually progress very quickly, not just progress quickly but they seemed to enjoy themselves as far as I can tell. I've also seen a few who simply complain for the sake of contrarianism and I've seen people who avoid discord as if there is some conspiracy with the app itself.

There are tons of reasons to complain, whether they are valid complaints or not doesn't really matter, they'll happen anyway.

I do sympathize with those who've had bad experiences and I don't think a discord should be making a deaf player join VC to pretend to listen. I've actually heard of this happening. The discord I'm in serves more of a purpose than JUST VC callouts, it also allows easy grouping as there is no system implemented in-game to pre-make a full team.

This is something I want to point out; on the primal BA Discord, very few runs are really scheduled, the only one I can think of is a meme run. My point is, people are lumping all discords together but there is no one discord, there are various so YMMV.

Personally won't recommend anyone who wants to enjoy the game and have fun to engage in any BA runs because the game content wasn't created for any player adopt any masochist attitude and be harassed by some self made elite wannabes.

I plan on joining the discord this weekend because I want to have fun in BA. Someone already posted their information to contact them so I'll be doing that. I've been trying to socialize a bit in this game so I'm hoping this helps me.

Going against a discord group? Is this person that posted is willing to be responsible of possibly banning thousands of players because feelings? SE is not going to waste their time and money loss over that plus it's not affecting the game internally. Just give it a few weeks until it becomes pug-able. Don't put fault on the players, it's falls back on the dev team for designing the requirements that way.

If the dev team learn from this, never do this again...EVER.

We have to schedule runs on Chaos because there are a lot of discords, so we have to coordinate (just like how linkshell used to back in 2006 in FFXI with Dynamis schedules), but that s beside the point of this topic.

I haven't done Eureka yet, so I am just wondering from reading this.

So basically, some group decides to "schedule" a run at a time that is convenient for them, and they expect everyone else to just move aside because?
If I say only had two hours of playtime but a bunch of groups scheduled their runs in that time, I would be expected to not play because they made some random schedule that I didn't know about?

As I said, I haven't done Eureka at all, just trying to understand.
