Exactly, they had no issue putting that reward back then, so something that only required additionnal money shouldn't be that big of a deal. That's why I would be ok with having it on the Mogstation.

Problem is that the Red Onion helm is tank exclusive while the "proper" onion set is for DRG. And manikins in fractal that wear the DRG set have the blue Onion helm.

Y: I usually compare FFXIV with a theme park, but the Forbidden Land of Eureka won’t be a place where everyone would want to go. For example, there are people who don’t want to go to horror houses because they don’t see the point in getting scared on purpose. For example, on a date, the boyfriend might want to invite the girlfriend to go the horror house, but the girlfriend just doesn’t seem to find it fun. In other words, it’s not like everyone wants to go to the horror house, but there are people who just love the adrenalin rush they get from it. Think of Eureka as something like that.

After they got so many complaints that they offered legitimate versions of the White Ravens and Manderville Earrings last Rising, Yoshi P did apologize for not atleast making the items replicas of the originals. Hindsight is always 20/20.

Maybe they'll add in replicas of items like the Onion Helm sometime, but I hope they don't. Let some things be exclusive to those who supported the game during its darkest period.

So did they recently change the 1.0 codes to make them expire? Because I got that blue helm and it was years after 1.0 was a thing, I'm sure of it.

We received the Legacy status for that. I really don't think an item most likely bought before knowing that the game would fail bears any big relevance. Especially since you probably have several people who bought the Collector early on but still bailed out of the game and thus, aren't considered Legacy players.

I’d like to see the full 1.0 onion set as an event. I only ever managed to get the onion doublet when I played 1.0. Apparently you can get it through retainer quick ventures but I’ve been sending those out for what? 3 years now? And still haven’t gotten a piece of the set, let alone 2 pieces.

A few months ago they had an event that let you experience the calamity and also obtain the 1.0 earrings or whatever it was. There was a lot of people complaining about it because it devalued their ego somewhat. But it was enjoyable and it's not like these things should matter so much if they were once limited but no longer are. They are not physical copies of something and hold no real value. Most people don't even use the limited items they obtained from long ago, so they are kept in storage for the sake of collection. It would be really nice if they brought back old 1.0 items like that, at the very least through the mogstation.

    they could just add it
make one fit in armoire and recent one doesn't
everyone gets the helm and people who got it originally get the benefit of having it in armoire
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    its a 1.0 CE reward.
so no, it wont ever show up again, much like my legacy chocobo.

still would be great if it was able to be dyed though

Don't mind me, I'm just posting my opinions on the internet and watching how people react to them.

This says the codes can't be redeemed anymore
It might be worth a shot anyway if you're desperate enough though, because I was able to redeem mine not too long ago. And if you look at the paper itself (code is already used, don't bother), there is no expiration date at all on it. I think SE might just be saying that to try and stop people from buying 1.0 copies since they want rid of them.

HMM. Might try and find a code then, doesn't seem to be anyone selling EU codes though at least on ebay
