Imo, not really. I mean, I think there is a difference between doing stuff as hydaelyn's chosen and just paying like $60 to act like you did. I think they should do something ingame to differentiate the real warriors of light from the ones who bought their way in. Like maybe call them "Warrior of Light Jr." instead?

Almost seems like stolen valor to call yourself a WoL when all you did was pay SE money. :v Does anyone else feel the same? Nothing against skip potion users, but I don't consider them on the same level as the other warrior of lights, like myself.

I've used skips on my alts for certain roles or for story skip. I think those are excellent options for those who don't want to relevel an existing role or redo the story again. Those who skip their first role/character miss out in my opinion but it's their choice.

hmmm... maybe just a special title or something? just so that people would know you didn't pay your way into WoL-hood. Or something to tag other players as having used a skip potion. Like maybe make the crystal we use in cutscenes a different color if they used a skip potion. The real WoLs would have a blue one and the skip potion ones would have a brown/black one.

I get what you're saying, OP. It's kind of like how legacy players are differentiated with special chocobos and tattoos. There's a lot of ways they could do it too, and depending on what it could encourage new players to not use jump potions.

After the ...what was it, five? ten? threads on the matter it seems like it's enough of a distinction that we got our free Fantasia while those who skip don't.

The game checks for quest completion which is a binary flag, there's no difference on how you completed a quest you either did or you didn't.
