Obviously you aren't, because it's not a coincidence you had the exact results that everyone else does who gets a free trial of Prime and then forgets to unsubscribe or didn't notice they subscribed in the first place. There's been a lot of talk regarding the North American and Japanese promotional campaigns. We are working to setup campaigns in PAL regions with the new in-game items. They will also be available for purchase on the Mog Station at a later date. We will share more information as soon as it becomes available.

Wait, there was a time when you could sub through amazon time cards and get a mount? Ahhh! That's a shame... I wish I had known! I buy pretty much everything from there except groceries because it's like 8x more expensive than my grocery store lol

there was a UK online store that did it aswell
i cant do amazon since AU so that helped me out with the cloud

Unfortunately the company in question ran out of game cards very fast and when they restocked they wouldn't allow new credit cards to be registered to new accounts for payment. So despite being aware and having money to buy from that promo I couldn't because it wouldn't accept new customers.

You had to buy eligible products for a certain amount of money from Amazon to get a code for the cumulonimbus clod mount and the eastern journey glamour set.
The eligible products just happened to include GTCs for FFXIV so a lot of people who weren't planning on buying any of the other eligible stuff anyways opted for that since it essentially boiled down to the promotion items being free (they would need the game time eventually anyway).
I think the promotion was only available in the US and gave out NA codes.
In Germany we had a Dr Pepper promotion where you had to buy a total of 24 FFXIV branded cans of the stuff. Which a lot of brick and mortar stores didn't have in stock because they still had old cans without the promotion codes or didn't stock Dr Pepper at all. Not to mention that you then had 24 cans of soda you probably didn't even like. One of our FC members ended up with ~100 free cans of Dr Pepper because he was the only one who liked the stuff and a bunch of people ordered cans for him just to get the promotional keys.
