On top of that: for female (characters) it might also help to have their relationship status clear, so they dont get... weird messages. And yes, thats a thing that happens.

For the most part, I play a male char, and while I've had a few times where folks hit on him, it's rare (and usually done in a non-aggressive manner).

Last night I decided to take my new miq female around (I want to get her to the level that she can ride her fat cat). Now, I'm going to try to ignore the "character stats" because I know them and other people don't (i.e. she's the smallest proportions of everything I could get because she's supposed to be 16, my main's little sister) but still - zoned into the Gridania aetheryte, got /doted and "a** slapped" by a gent standing there. Ignored him, ran into Old Gridania (she's a wee baby cnj and I needed to do the intro stuff) and got /dote'd again (by someone else), hugged in two different locations, and had a different gent following her around until I teleported her out.

I'm not sure I want to know what would have happened if I hadn't had the busy status on for tells...

So, yeah. I can absolutely understand trying to put anything you can into search boxes to at least attempt to forestall that sort of thing. If you're offended at seeing those sorts of messages, then

1) Why? Are you looking at search messages in an attempt to find something that "I'm not single" would disagree with? It's an MMO, not a dating sim/dating site.
2) Are you jealous? That's hardly their fault.
3) Are you offended on principle? That one's easy. Mind your own business.

I never knew just being a girl in an mmo could get you so much attention. I might end up playing an f Viera if we don't get m Viera, so I better prepare myself for all these potential suitors. Thanks for the heads-up.
