Wow...
3 threads? Seriously?
For what, a Fantasia?

This! Exactly! Thank you! I don't know what the OP's problem is but they didn't complete the quest themselves. It's like demanding you be paid for a job you agreed to do but had somebody else to do for you. All the potion is designed for is to save you time so you're getting precisely what you paid for here. The extras are for items, mounts, and achievements unobtainable via other means. They add the gil and feathers so you can get on with the main story from there.
Also the fantasia wasn't really a part of the main quest rewards originally but added later on. On that note though I wonder why it wasn't added as part of a side quest reward instead. Or as mentioned, a part of an achievement reward.

For me, this guy is triggering my customer service PTSD really hard. He sounds exactly like all the people I've dealt with that didn't read the fine print (or anything at all, usually) and get super angry and entitled when corrected.
I'm surprised he hasn't complained to a manager yet. Oh, wait...
I fail to see why this needed a thread (much less 3) seeing as they specify you DON'T get the Fantasia reward. The only rewards you get are the ones you can repurchase from the calamity salvagers.

It's a strong-arm tactic. Throw enough of a fit, threaten enough, (hopefully) get enough people worked up, and maybe they'll give you what you want to shut you up.
If they'd actually spent time in the game (and on the forums) and not just jumped in, they would have realised that we get about 15 of these sorts of posts a day and most people really, really love finding new things to ridicule.
