    Since, if you just go by the fact that "Guns shoot bullets therefore magical ammo" then the same could be said about literally every projectile weapon. Which are defined by sending objects (Which could be magically enhanced) through the air.

    To say nothing of the fact that Gunbreaker doesn't have an aetherotransformer which is used to power MCH's special ammo and gadgets. (Since, if I recall correctly, aether is automatically turned into bullets that we shoot and we merely "Reload" enhanced bullets)
    I could see Gunbreaker getting a 'sharpness' mechanic similar to all melee weapons in Monster Hunter. It's comparable to Heat and the function of BLM's MP in their rotation. Certain abilities deplete the meter faster than others, and the less sharpness you have the less damage you do, so eventually you have to build it back up. The idea would be to recover sharpness right before you want to burst, then ride the remaining good windows as long as possible.

    If they get ammo, I expect it to be used for cooldowns mostly. Or for a ranged burst phase, making it similar to PLD's Req window.

    We need new roles first, “then” new jobs. Adding more of the same serves no purpose.

    That said, your hopes aren't completely dashed. I'd recommend to instead ask SE to implement more heavy attacks into the MCH rotation that fit this mould. Perhaps as a way to make Gauss Barrel or the turrets more interesting. It can't be the whole kit, but it can certainly be a part of it. Again, look at Satellite Beam, their Limit Break 3. SE gave them Flamethrower this expansion, so I can absolutely see them getting more abilities to expand their arsenal, including heavy weaponry. Machinist literally can be tweaked to do this, and 5.0 is an ideal time to do so, given how people see the current MCH, it's honestly warranted to change it up too.
    What about level 80 abilities it if has machine gun or rocket launcher i mean weapon skills? or abilities?, DAMMIT MAN XD

    I have to disagree with that we will never know, perhaps we might not see this class in shadowbringuers but the Idea remains, and what if the GMS's or devs see the forums? BTW devs and GM's if you see this tread see the links i posted thank you : 3
